Which of the white currant branches can I propagate and how?
The bush was rescued a few years ago from another location, and then got mostly cut down by accident and just isn't growing very well anymore. I'd really like to take some cutting and convert them into new bushes. Any advice?
This year shoots will grow roots much easier than last year’s shoots.

I’m not sure about that specific variety but the general rule of thumb is that it has to be pencil thick with a couple of nodes or buds on it.

I just planted about 25 cuttings with my red and black currants yesterday actually. You want first years shoots that have not turned into hard wood yet and around a 12”-14” length of cutting, remove any leaves from the bottom and bury up 2/3rds of your cutting in the ground.
You’ve got a good one growing into the centre(its starting from the outside then growing crooked into the centre)that you can cut and bury. That one is also good because you don’t want them growing crooked and crowded or touching each other as it grows. As well as a couple/few on the right side of your bush.
Make sure to give the hole/s a good watering and throw some wood mulch or a bunch of leaves around to protect them from the winter elements.
