Typically closed on Tuesdays, the garden will welcome guests from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 14, 21, and 28, and from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 4.
Visitors can plan their trips using the garden’s fall color tracker, which is updated weekly.
In addition to the seasonal beauty, the garden features the art exhibition “Designing Nature: Elements of Harmony,” which delves into the history and philosophies of Japanese gardens.
The Portland Japanese Garden, established in 1963, is celebrated as the most authentic Japanese garden outside Japan and serves as a cultural bridge promoting peace and understanding.
