Previously on the backyard build. It’s the moment you guys have been waiting for. We’re going to build a pond. What could we have rented from this bib? Like a mini excavator. Is this moving? It’s moving. It’s moving. It’s moving. It’s moving. So, I think what we’ve dug then is perfect. I don’t get stressed. I think this is going to be my favorite view of it. I’m very excited to see this all coming together. It’s going to be super stressfree. No overthinking. Next. Another day of overthinking and underworking and overheating. Which do you want at the front? That or that? I kind of like the way you have it positioned. Just just like that. Yeah. Cuz then the water will come up it a bit. Do you want to walk forwards or backwards? Um, can we walk sideways? You need to just Okay. Ready? One, two, three. Do you want me to go on that side? Okay, I’m ready. I got this. One, two, three. One, two, three. One, two, three. One, two, three. One, two, three. That’s probably good, eh? Yeah, it looks great to me. [Music] I feel like it needs spun. Like if you come over here to look at it. See how it’s overhanging? I feel like it should be kind of like more corner than facing this. What do you think though? Uh you think it needs to turn more? We’ll turn it more. I’ll show you. [Music] There. Oh, that’s it. Yeah. Okay, that looks good. Welcome to episode 16 everybody of the backyard build. Jokes on us. Last time we left you in our last episode, we said we were going to have to rent a piece of equipment to move these rocks. Maybe we got to rent a machine. Well, we’re 2 days into it. The sleepy build is looking sleepy. So, yesterday we were actually out here working on this some more. We got one, two, three, four, five big rocks in. Yeah. No equipment, solely arm strength. You are so cartoon coated. You got toilet paper stuck to your shoe. We can’t do this for everyone. So anyway, you guys are in for a doozy of an episode. We’re hoping to get a lot of rocks laid. We’re hoping to get the waterfall situated. Maybe hook up some electrical and get the water turned on. That’d be crazy if we could get that done for this episode. So stay tuned. I hope you enjoy. [Music] [Music] Oh, wow. Look, that fits just snug in there. That’s fantastic. Oh yeah, that’s fine. Eh. Mhm. I like that. We did take a little bit of a break to try and regroup because moving into the waterfall does involve making sure everything is configured properly. And I’m cutting a lot out of these videos because it’s very stopand go. If we didn’t have the stream aspect, you would just come around and then this corner basically this liner here would attach to that. The liner is all part of the waterfall. It’s easy. And then you just build one waterfall. Done. But this we’re like, “Oh, we need it to come this way. We’re going to stream along here.” And like the liner has to have enough overlap swoops out and then back. Yeah. Yeah. Maybe that’s But it’ll be like two a couple little Yeah. and then and we’ve also had to keep taking breaks the last couple days during this project because it’s been so hot. And when we did the waterfall in the spring, it went by relatively quickly despite never doing it before because it was so cool out. We even worked in the rain. But we are just getting cooked out here. I wish it was raining. So yeah, that’s water level. We want to be a couple inches above it, right? Ideally, I suppose [Music] the morale is low, folks. No, it’s not bad. [Music] That’s a little high, eh? A little. Yeah, I could maybe just roll it back if you want to pull that piece out. Oh, I knew that was going to happen. We’re losing the wall. Frig me. It’s all going to collapse now. Like, it’s okay. Hey, it’s okay. It looked like it was too many rocks right there anyway. Oh, yeah. You You think it didn’t look good? No, it had too many little rocks in there anyway. Like, it needed these anyway. This? Yeah. Like what? Like that? Oh, yeah. And then we can just put gravel or whatever in there. That’d be great. Hey babe, don’t even sweat it. Where’ these come from? You think that looks better? Who cares? It’s all going to be underwater. It doesn’t matter. It’s going to be winter in anyway. [Music] I don’t know if I want the butt crack right there. [Music] Like that. That’s better. Yeah. Hide the crack. I hope that all this walking on this with these rocks hasn’t put any holes. E. Do you think it has? No. We’re only two people. I know, but it’s a lot of We weigh like 100 lbs between the two of us. Right. Wait, I got to go down. Okay. Could you maybe just Are you able to roll it? Yeah. Just watch yourself. Okay. Yeah. Flip it like it’s What’s that thing that people do? The tires. Yeah. Aqua Fit. What’s it called? Crossfit. Crossfit. I don’t do CrossFit. And you don’t do Aquafit either. Holy cow. Put it down softly. Watch your fingers. That’s nice. Oh. Oh god. We’re good. Okay. I’ll show you guys what we have to go right here. So, if you guys remember when we went to Stratford to pick out these rocks, Andrew fell in love with this giant rock that the salesman basically sold us on because he was like, “You could put a chair on it. Like, you could use it as a ledge to walk into the pond.” So, we got it. And now we’re realizing just how big it is. Like, look at it in proximity to this boulder. It’s huge. So, I think what we’re going to do is kind of tuck it in this corner right here and it’ll basically be an access into the pond. So, we could put like a little chair on it or you could just stand and put your feet in the pond. That rock is also so thick that like the bottom of the rock will be it’ll be partially on water, partially out. The other option was to put it over here because I want to landscape with tall things almost around the pond so that it feels kind of like separate from the yard. But I was thinking somewhere in that area. So it is more of a it would also be canlevered out and you can kind of stand on it and put your feet in the pond or sit on the rock and it’ll be next to the stream. Those are two options. We’re trying to decide where where we should put it, but we’ll decide more once we get there. So I honestly think the next step is to plan the stream, which is crazy. It’s exciting. So exciting. Do you want to bring that piece over that we want to use for this and check how it looks and how it like fits. [Music] Okay, so you’re sitting here. You see the waterfall in front of you. So that’ll be like one and then the other one that’ll trickle down. Okay, this is a good view. This is great. Okay, now we try a different location. If you’re sitting at the fire pit. Yeah. You can see that waterfall. That one. Yeah. And you’ll see you’ll see you’ll see it coming off. Yeah. Okay. Let’s try somewhere else from this side. You’ll see that waterfall. Oh, yeah. That’s kind of perfect. And you’ll see that just spilling over from the side. [Music] Welcome to another day of working on the pond, everybody. We’re going to start by putting in the liner for the waterfall in the stream, and we’ll see where today takes us. [Music] I don’t know how it’s folded up. We’ll see. [Music] Yeah, this will work. That’s enough to bring it down into this little area, right? Cuz that’s going to have to overlap onto that liner. Mhm. Yeah, that’s plenty. It was just a test fit. [Music] The other liner is going to overlap right into there. And it’s going to overlap kind of this the best we can. I’d like to get the water into that from here. Okay. But I don’t know if it’s possible. Yeah. Cuz let me show you this picture I saw yesterday. Okay. Like see how it like diverts it. It’s like that is dropping and coming here and the other side is going that way. Oh, okay. Okay. Like water line is pretty much right there. So, we know we can back fill to this. This is just the part that I’m having a hard time with because it’s it’s not like this is straight off it going towards it like this. It’s sideways. So, you got to make sure you have enough overlap with the liner and stuff like that, which is crucial. So, so, okay. So, yeah, we might have to put a big rock here. Mhm. on the outside of the liner to act to and then to be able to fill this with dirt, right? Like might have to dig a spot here for a rock to go to basically go like this on over here to keep this water in the liner. Right about here. I’m still just kind of trying to figure out how this what this is going to logistically look like. That’s the problem cuz like it’s so low here still. Like we need to place a rock right here, but like we don’t have dirt. Well, we just have to pull it from over here. Let’s just do it. Let’s just get it done. Start putting rocks down. Aquacape underllayment. Crucial step. So, the liner, we’re going to bring it over. And what I’m going to have to do, babe. Mhm. It has to go over top of this one. Okay. So, like I’m going to have to move these back carefully. See, it’s it is starting to collapse already. Like this this one has to overlap that one. Right. Sorry, last thing before we do this. Okay. Should this kind of be built with this liner here before we do the put the other one over top or no? Because if this lays like this and we end up building this Mhm. the water that goes in here is just going to run out. Yeah. This maybe this should be supported. You want to put a rock there, right? We got to put something there. Okay. Um like put it on here or something. Where do you want it? I don’t know. Right here. This is good. That’s good. And then let’s get the other liner and then we can adjust this after. Like I feel like there should be the shape this and then it should be back filled. Okay. Do you want me to pull I’ll pull the felt up if you want to back fill. Like those rocks aren’t big enough. Do you see what I’m spiraling? Okay. So, we’ll just bring the liner over. Mhm. We’ll place that first rock. Mhm. We’ll place this. We’ll place the rocks around it. Make sure there’s enough liner on the side of it. Create this kind of pooling area. So, we might be able to build this and then when we get there, fold the liner back, back fill what we need to do. But, we need to just start working. Okay. [Music] Okay. So, there’s plenty of liner there, right? Not quite enough here. Okay. So, that’s enough there. Right. I’m just making sure we have enough. Right. Cuz there we’re good there. Right. Right. I’m just trying to get situated. You take your time, baby. [Music] Yeah, we got plenty of liner here. Like tons actually. Do you have enough over there? Um, not like it takes us out to here. It’ll be enough. You think so? Yeah, because this is going to fold out. Like this is coming out. I thought it would come to like here at most. So, yeah, we’re good. You’re sure? Yeah. this. I don’t know if it’s going to sit perfectly level, but okay, let’s get the wrinkles kind of Oh, it’s already starting to break just where this rock’s going to sit [Music] nice and flat. Yeah. So, now get that underllayment cuz the rock’s going to sit right here, right? Yeah. I think this is going to be a good episode. I can feel it. I’m stressing so hard already. [Music] If you have to adjust the fabric, do so. Stop. Bring it down. [Music] That’s cool, eh? Like Lion King. Oh, so true. Okay, first piece of the waterfall is in. Great. for now. Yeah, we’ll see if we leave it. There’s not enough liner. Like look. And this needs to stay folded down in there to prevent any leaks. And this needs to I’m not understanding. So, why is it that it has to be folded and not just perched like came all the way up? It can be perched up. Yeah. But let’s see if we have a rock that can go that’s taller than this that’ll fit here that’s skinny. Like narrow. Okay, baby. Let’s go. You’re coming. If I’m dealing with this, you’re coming with me. Skinny. I like that rock a lot. This? Yeah. Too wide. Too wide. Okay. Even a something to put on here. Mhm. Right. And then we could put a couple little ones here. Kind of like have it sit on that kind of and then have a bigger one on the outside of the liner. Okay. Right. Sure. If I pull that, all this dirt’s going to fall. I bet. No, it’s not higher. I thought that this would be up here. [Music] What’s wrong, babe? Everything. So, like the bottom of the rock is really only about that much higher than water line. Water is, no matter how you foam it, water’s coming under the rocks. How the heck do you keep it overlapped in here? Mhm. And big enough out there. What is the recommended overlap? 6 in. But we don’t have that cuz like Yeah, we could go like that with it, right? But like water is going to come here and it’s going to it’s going to go wherever it wants. Like we know that from the front. Like I’m feeling nauseous. Okay, take a breather. Take a breather. I’m not understanding why the rock has to be on the inside of the liner. Why can’t it be on the inside? It doesn’t have to be on the inside. It just has to be higher. Higher for the water level. Oh my god, these are heavy. Remember which way it was? Uh I think just like that. Yeah. And you’re saying just put it in here? Yep. Sit it on that. Sit it here. Yep. Like my biggest fear is water coming out of the liner. Like even all these rocks are quite low. And like the liner’s low in the ground kind of. But okay, let me just ponder this for a minute. If we’re to get a bigger rock, are you thinking the rock should be tight to this? Mhm. Tight to it. And then spraying and sealing underneath it. Like spray all this in. Fill that all. And then river rock. Anything that you can see. And then river rock to merge these spaces together. Once we get out of this area, we have lots of liner to play with and we’ll be fine. Cuz [Music] we can sit on that rock, too. Mhm. You know what I mean? That might look kind of cool. One, two, three. One, two, three. One, two, three. Oh. Oh, god. No way. It made a hole. That easy. Through the freaking thing. That’s a hole. Yeah, that literally just smashed right through it. Oh. Oh god. I mean, of all places to get a hole, this isn’t worst case scenario cuz it’s not like it’s like under rocks or it’s not like we could still fix this. Okay, everybody, crisis averted. My camera turned off, but we got this rock in a little patch. Nothing serious. It could always be worse. Could be in a worse spot. It really could. We were able to spot it because imagine we finished this whole project and then noticed that there we’re leaking water after and how the heck do you even locate it? Yeah, that’s crazy. So, we got that in. We have a beautiful moss rock. Now, we’re working on putting it um behind it. Things are going good. Things are just great. Just a little bump in the road. Just me stressing. It’s a lot of thinking. I know that you have a lot of pressure on you right now to get this right. A million things. It’s going to be beautiful, Dib. And look at how like this one could not be more perfect here. It’s actually gorgeous. Spilling over the side. Looks pretty good. Darn good there, doesn’t it? Better, right? I really like that one. You do? Yeah. I think it’s perfect. You think that’s fine? I think that’s great. But we’re going to put another rock here anyway. You got it. [Music] If we bring it over here somewhere. Okay. Right. You don’t want these all touching necessarily. And it’s kind of pretty. So maybe it should be on the inside. So if we put it on the inside and then put like a couple of those other ones there, we can just back fill some dirt against here cuz we’re going to have to anyway for like cuz those aren’t sunk in the ground, right? We have to raise this. So we’re going to have to put some stuff around there after, too. But we thought that big one was going to go here. Remember? Oh, you know what? That’d be great to put that here off the corner of this right here. Right. And then cuz then you can put dirt and it’s all going to look buried in here. And this will And then what? And then what? So, I used to remove all of our um stressful moments from our videos uh in ditching the split. Actually, I left a couple of them in. Like, lifting the beam was pretty stressful, but any moment that was actually very stressful, I took it out because I wasn’t sure how it was going to be perceived by um viewers cuz you guys didn’t really know us and our dynamic and our communication style and whatnot. So, I would take it out. But this is real life. A project we’ve never done before. We’ve done the waterfall, but this is very different. A lot more thinking involved and a lot more time spent trying to execute this. Looking back, the waterfall was so easy because it was literally built into a hill. You’re b I basically built a staircase of rocks because I’m going to put fill that top of that with gravel and into there after. And maybe we can put like something to cover it more. Get in the freaking tractor. We’re going to pick it up and try and flip it over. [Music] Is this going to work? Yeah. Are Are we sure? Yeah. [Music] And then it’ll drop. Drop. You do it. Let’s see you drop. Oh, those knees though. Did they crack? They’re knobbyby AF. [Music] How you feeling? Great. Good. You feeling good. Feels like things are kind of going how we’ve wanted them to from the start. Yeah. [Music] What a productive day. It’s been fun. Tell everybody what you did. You can tell them what you did. Well, I wasted three two cans of foam. I know. Oh my gosh. I didn’t even think of that part. I was out here late last night in the dark looking at this over and over again. And I’ll be completely honest, I don’t like any of this. I feel like there’s a lot of rock here. like a lot of rock all just kind of piled on top like pushed up against each other. I know we’re going to bring dirt up. The way that this is laid out, the water level in here is going to be would have been all this all the way to here would have been the same height water. No, you know what I mean? Like we have all this rock that it could be splashing over. Okay. So, do you want the good news or the bad news? Give me the good news first. It’s cool out today. Oh. And it’s supposed to be cool all day. Okay. The bad news is we have to redo this. We have to pull every single rock out, but we have a tractor. Oh, yippee. The funny thing is I thought this video was going to be over. I was prepared to come out today and do a little boop boop. Move some rocks around, dump some stuff, call it a day. But oh no, the video continues. Give it a like, subscribe, smash that like button. Like I’m going to smash my head into a boulder. Ready? What? This feels heavy, doesn’t it? It’s very heavy. We’ve moved it like four times already. [Music] Why’d you put the brick so far away? Don’t you want to be able to drive the tractor in? We’re not going to be able to carry this. This one’s smaller. Oh. [Music] That is kind of far. Maybe I can lift this one. I think I lifted it here before it was foamed. Is dad losing his mind? You want to get out of here? You know, I thought this was coming as soon as you like tapped me on the shoulder last night in bed and wanted to show me a video. I’m like, “Oh, God. What’s this?” Really? Yeah. As soon as you’re like, I just have one more thing to show you. This will take a little bit of time. I’m going to be happier. Things are going to look better. You’re going to love me. You’re going to say, “Wow, babe. You’re the pond master.” You want me to call you the pond master? Yeah. The water man. I’m going to I hope you do. What a shame. all that hard work. You got a leaf on the top of your head. I’m disappointed about this one. This rock. You wanted it here. Well, like I I just like the look of it, but I had initially wanted to use it at the top anyway. It just It won’t look good here. Trust me. It doesn’t look natural at all. It’s this great big flat rock the middle of like a thing. Like it looks like some dummy who doesn’t know how to build the wall or fall. Put it there. Well, that’s that. Like I’m not too happy about having to do this either. You know what they say. We do it nice cuz we do it twice. [Music] Good freaking lock, eh? Okay. Well, could we work maybe in sections? Yeah. Yeah, like leave it here. Yeah, I guess. Okay, let’s find a picture that I was looking at. Like, do you like how that looks going into the pond? What’s the other option? Anything you want, but I’m just showing you what I liked. So, what is the focal point here? Is it this one or is it this one? Or will it just be both? I don’t know. Okay. I don’t know. Okay. Now I don’t know even know where to start again. Oh no. It’s a cycle. So we need something to make it drop in and it needs to be thinner than that big piece was. Right. Like I don’t know why I piled all that dirt on that. How did I get so much gravel on this? What are you trying to do? Like this fabric needs to be clean for the liner to go on it. Okay. So, you want to let’s just work in sections of We’ll just shake this one off onto there and then we’ll clear all that. It just needs to be free of the rocks and stuff. Just like that. Just like that. Shake it off. The grass is fine. Okay, that already cleared half of it. Now we just got to get it off that half. Did you eat? No. See, maybe that’s part of it. Like, I have so many worries about everything. I I hate it. But like I just want to give up over and over again. It’s gonna all work out, babe. You’ve done harder things. Okay, that’s better. I guess that’s better. We got a surface to work with. Okay, let’s get the liner. [Music] There you go. And that’s hanging in a lot more now, which I kind of like. Okay, that’s good. You like that one? That’s great. Okay. Do you like it? you. That’s perfect. Off the one picture I showed you already. I saved so many last night. I was in such a panic mode. I know. I was just screenshot screenshot screenshot watching videos. I know that will make you more confused. That’s the problem because No, we don’t have the same rocks either. Like that one. See how there’s another one higher up? Yeah. You know how we were going to do a garden area there? Keep water close to here. Mhm. Right. And we can have water higher up. Splash in there. So, is this in your vision right now? Is this still creating a stream? Yeah. Into and it’ll drop in here and then drop in over here. Is that still the vision? Okay. And it’ll still be your pooling area there. Yeah. Okay. It’s just now we’re going to have better elevations and stuff, right? Okay, baby. Thanks for being patient with me. You’re welcome, babe. It’s just I know it’s going to look great and if it was the other way around, you would redo something for me and you have before. I kept looking at it and looking at I’m like, what is wrong? Like, what? And like the in every single video that I watch, they just say over and over again, you don’t need huge to make a big impact. And there’s so many nice rocks we have here that have different shapes and like water can flow. And we were using them all along like a border. Can you see it? Kind of. [Music] Yeah. Yeah. Looks good. I think this is going to be cool. I think we’re on to something. Okay. Do you or do are Be honest. Are you seeing it? Yeah, I’m seeing it. Okay, good. I think this one should be a wide drop and then as we increase the height that’s when they start having like more smaller but they’ll just one into this. Okay. And I think it should be this rock. Yeah, that’s fine. Yeah, that’s a nice one. Actually, that rock needs to go like here. Okay. Do you want to move that first? Sure, babe. So, welcome back everybody. You guys just watched us in a time lapse and yes, we did change the positioning three more times. Everything. But I think we have some good momentum right now. Let’s get the waterfall done and then we’ll reevaluate where we are. I’ve lost all credibility putting myself online. What does that mean? I can never find anything. I’m always overthinking. You’re Handy Andy, babe. The handy Andy. Never forget who you are. The guy that gets nothing done. Even Handy Andy has a bad day. Every day has been bad recently. Oh, you’re drama. Okay, hurry up. [Music] Oh my god. Getting weaker every day. Mentally and physically and financially. Yes. So, so does this this has to be back filled. Yeah, that needs to be brought up. Depends on the height of those rocks. So, cuz if we use that one here, then like I just want to be able to have a cave underneath the the bottom drop. I don’t want it to drop straight into the water. I want like a little cave under it. [Music] Right now, we’re working on our waterfall because we want it to drop in. It’s going to drop in there, come down, waterfall while also continuing around. That’s why this project is very difficult because the placement of the spillway needs to be able to divert the water to go in two different directions. It’s a very advanced project for two beginners. It’s a brain teaser is what it is. [Music] I’m just bringing this up with the rest of it. Mhm. But then we’ll have to check to make sure that the rocks that we’re using for that bottom tier are level with this tier or at least close. Right. Or at least close that the water’s the same height diverting both directions. [Music] Hold that. Oh, that’s liner. [Music] I think that could work. [Music] Can you see it? Kind of what I’m doing with the liner. Mhm. So, like my brain feels like mush. I know. [Music] All right, welcome back everybody. It has been a productive day, but I only filmed it in time lapse because obviously this project has been a bit of a struggle. So, we just needed to kind of focus and get it done. We had a much better day than we had yesterday. Thank goodness. We really put our heads together, banging them together. Banged them together. Concussed each other in order to get this project done. But man, does it ever look good. Andrew just finished doing all of the spray foam to hopefully contain the water to exactly where we want it to be. Typically like the spillway would just lead into the waterfall, but we decided to complicate things and make it go in two different directions, which is so like I can’t even find things like videos of people who’ve done that online. So, it made things harder. Plus, you pair me with uh this overinker over here who’s analyzing the shape and color of every rock. Yeah. Um, so it took a little bit longer than than it would for most, but we’re in a good place right now and we’re going to start hooking up the lights, courtesy of the Aquacape team. Thank you so much. And we have a couple different lights to light this thing up. Hopefully, it looks good. It is a lot of lights, so you should be able to see us from space. So, this light is going to shoot across the pond. That one will light up underneath the waterfall. That one will light up underneath that little waterfall. And this one will shoot across and up. And then I have two more up there. I don’t know if we’ll need all of them, but we’ll see. This is our lighting transformer for in the pond. It’s going to get mounted to the side of this post. Plug in. It comes with this little three-way splitter attachment so we can run three lights. I’ll jump down. Mhm. This is a heavy duty uh light. I know. That’s why I thought because it’s supposed to light up across like angular. So I thought maybe this area would be better than that cuz we’re going to have two lights over there. Like I thought have it come across like here somewhere, right? Yeah. To shoot. Yeah, that’s that’d be good. Something like that, right? Yep. So these are the aquacape color changing lights. Oh yeah. Which will be so fun. We don’t have color changing lights in our front yard waterfall. [Music] So, here’s the pump with the check valve. The pump goes in here. Wow, that’s crazy. Just like that. That goes over there. Now, I got to see how this skull goes together. Just going to read the instructions. So, what I’m doing right now is I’m setting up our skimmer for our pond. It’s very similar to a pool. It has a basket here that collects leaves and debris and anything that falls in the into the pond. There’s a little weird door here on the front of it. So, that’s going to suck water in and it’ll put all the debris in the basket cuz it pumps in here and it gets sent up to the bofalls at the top. Comes with this little fake rock that you can kind of spin it around to make it fit. It’s supposed to just kind of disguise it. Obviously, the liner still needs tucked and a couple more rocks added, but you get the idea. It’s pretty neat. A bag. These balls go in it. Oh, and they move around and that’s like a biological filter. Greg thinks of everything. Yeah. Just like that. And then the cool thing is once the ground is actually fully built up to the height of it. Yeah. You’re supposed to just kind of like fill this up. It kind it disguises it. You really think dump it. [Music] Wow. Look at the dirt in it. [Music] Top down on shower setting. Top down on shower setting. We’re going to wash the rocks. You’re supposed to fill it up with the dirty water, drain it, and then fill it up again and then run the pond. Oh boy, this stuff is filthy. [Music] That’s a good sign. It’s pooling there. Yep. While that’s rinsing, I want to give you guys a better view of what we’ve created here. So, this obviously is the pond. It’s going to fill hopefully right near the top. We’re going to put our big blue rock as a stepping stone, kind of overhang it, and it’ll be like an entrance into the pond. So, that’ll come later. We’ve created a little pooling area that ideally is going to fill and spill over the rock that we have from the waterfall, as well as a stream along the back. And then the water will spill out the top where Andrew is right now. And obviously, the view from the other side. So, we’ll have water pouring in here, water pouring in here, and then the stream running in the back. Ideally, if this works out, we’ll find out in about 5 minutes. [Music] It’s going to fill a lot. Like, it’s got to fill a lot to turn it on, eh? Oh, yeah. Okay. Well, it’s going to be a while. Okay. Well, you get the pleasure of watching this in a time lapse. Actually, shy. It’s going to be a couple hours. Just kidding. We’ll come back to it when it’s full. Wow. Get a load of that movie magic. Suddenly, the pond is full. We started this video in the summer and now it is winter. Yes, it’s freezing. Okay. I didn’t think through the fact that it’s going to be dark by the time we reveal this. It has been a couple hours. We won’t be able to see if it’s leaking, but I didn’t think about that, but I just want to see if both waterfalls pour. Yeah, we’ll just turn it off for the night. I should preface this by saying next week’s video will be dependent on this moment. If we turn this thing on and it is not running as it’s supposed to or it’s leaking or we weren’t able to make it drop in the two places, I don’t know. If something goes wrong, I will be consulting Andrew next week. He will be physically ill. We all throw up, I think. I think so, too. Next week’s video is dependent on this moment. So, fingers crossed this works. Pray for us. Let’s go ahead. Oh, as I was saying, let’s turn this thing on and hope for the best. Say a little prayer for me. You have to press the button to turn it on and then I have to go over there. Okay. Oh, okay. It’s sucking water. It’s starting to spew. Oh, it’s making noises. It’s filling. It’s filling. Oh my god. It’s filling. Water is sucking in through the skimmer. It’s currently being pumped up to the very top. Oh, and I hear it flowing. Oh my gosh. Okay, I see water. It’s going over that side. Okay. See it? I do. [Music] And it’s coming over here. So that middle area. Oh frig. That’s filling with water, too. Oh, is it? Oh, no. No, it’s okay. Still nothing happening in front. Oh, shoot. Is that coming over the side there? Okay, this is starting to fill. Wait, it’s getting like just enough water right now. Is it? Yeah. Water level’s like dangerously high over here. Is it? Oh, it’s starting. Where? Right in front of us. Oh, no. It’ll It’ll go. Do you see that? It’ll go. Yeah, it’ll go. I think I can. I think I can. Here it comes. Oh, yeah. It’s actually right in the center. It started, too. Okay. Okay. [Music] I’m tearing up. Are you really? We worked so hard on this. I’m crying. It was such a busy week. It was so exhausting. I’m so tired, but it looks so good. I can’t even believe it. It’s like the end of the summer. This is our This was our whole summer was getting to this point. And now that it’s finally running, I’m I can’t even believe it. This is what we worked all summer to do. Finish with this. Ew. I hate that I’m crying, too. So embarrassing. Okay, we’ll see you guys next week. [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause]

Oh man, we don't get to see it? Bury the lead! So excited to see it next week!
18:10 I love the unintended pun “let me just ponder this for a minute” and Sabrina’s quick little 👀 to the camera with a small smirk made me laugh cause I instantly thought the same 😂
I didn't see it, then I saw it! Well done.
I can’t believe you left us hanging without seeing the water falls working!! 😳 Cliffhanger to make sure we come back next week to see it?!? 😂 I’m living out my pond dreams vicariously through you guys. 😍
I love how the pups just kind of hang around and do their own thing but always close by.❤
Sabrina is the voice of calm & optimism.
I want to smash my head on a biiig rock girl. Kuddos to you for the patience. You inspire me so much. Love watching you guys, always crack me up. 😂😂
Omg don’t you just want to ( I don’t know) SLAP HIM😂😂😂. I love him but does it have to be PERFECT
It sounded great. Can’t wait to see it.❤
The dogs are so funny.
You 2 are both going to have hernias after lifting all those big rocks.. Please be careful. The pond is looking awesome!
Phenomenal job! Sending so many hugs and squeezes to you both. You worked so hard on this beautiful pond, I’m crying too.
Next week can’t come fast enough for the reveal of the water falling n flowing.
Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I’m in awe at how you both tackle every project! I was thinking earlier how I hope y’all will be all finished in my lifetime but then I realized that you’ll never be all finished, just like we were never finished with our house, we always made it better, well except for the time I decided to paint an accent wall Whataburger orange. That definitely didn’t make it better. As for the project at hand, and admittedly I have no clue on how costly any of the things you are using to make your waterfall, I think it would be more beautiful with
all flat rocks, but just imagine that that would bump up the costs to triple or even more. I know it’s going to be beautiful when you two are finished! And if you both love it, that’s all that matters!
Omgosh! It makes me sick the way you have to constantly stroke his ego. He needs to go off and sit in a corner to do his pouting while you do the project with a REAL MAN.
I love that you got so teary (happy) dont Apologize for emotions. Proud of you both
Now I'm crying too 😭❤
He needs to stop stressing and chill!
So impressed with you both!! Watching this made me realize that I don’t have the mental capacity to even attempt half of this! Amazing!
I'm so happy it all worked out for you guys! I can't wait to see the end results. You guys worked so hard on such a physically exhausting project. I would be in tears too!! ❤️

I know you mentioned how at first you cut out stressful moments or conflict because you weren't sure your dynamic was what people wanted to see, but I absolutely loved watching you guys work through a problem, and especially with how patient and reassuring you were when Andrew was getting anxious and overthinking.
What is the sensor on your level for water level?
She's got a lot of patience.
Long time viewer, first time commenter. From one guy to another, just wanted to let Andrew know how much respect I have for him. Love watching the two of you tackle these projects TOGETHER. Keep up the great work, you two. Cheers from Michigan.
Honestly thank you guys for being so real with this video.. Andy being so hard on himself and so honest with his thought process and feelings throughout is just so raw and real and telling that you guys are human.. yes you show a lot of your lives online but you’re still very much human!
Also commending to Sabrina for being the perfect reminder to Andrew as and when he needs it ❤ love this video more than you know.
Keep with it guys, it’s going to be beautiful!
Match made in heaven 💕 You are a TEAM!!
I don't think I've ever commented on one of y'all's videos before and I've been following you since you were building your roof this summer… But I wish I would have waited to put my like on the video until you laid down with Ackley lmao. That is so something I would do. I'd be like "bro I'm going to take a cat nap, be right back".😂😂😂😂
Tears of relief, exhaustion and satisfaction – well done guys!
I can’t believe you redid that. It looked good
If there’s a clip of Andrew about to run or running in every video, i would not be disappointed ❤!😂I agree, this looked like a stressful week. But if any couple can handle it, I knew you two could. So glad we’re getting a video next week bc from the looks of things, you were successful!
Well let US SEE
I'm crying too! 🥲.
Great job! Hard work pays off. It’s beautiful.
❤
Congratulations we knew you could do it.
Looks amazing!!
The way Sabrina is always so patient with Andrew with every project they do
If could just "not I get stuff done" as much as Andrew, I would have plowed 50 acres by hand by now. Anxiety will lie straight to your face with no shame😊. You got this guys!
Happy tears 🤗
Y’all worked so hard! It’s gonna be so great and worth it 😍🤩
Andrew was right and thank goodness Sabrina has patience and believes in his ability.
Everything you guys touch ends up amazing! I love that you are showing the process, because that is real life. You’re doing something you’ve never done, and you want it to look nice. You have a vision, don’t apologize for changing your mind! It already looks amazing!
It’s a little hard to watch Andrew’s indecisiveness during this episode and I appreciate you want to show the reality of your project. Thank goodness Sabrina is so maternal and supportive when Andrew is on the verge of crying and giving up or when being so insecure. Sorry to be so critical, but the episode was almost painful to watch. Just being honest so you don’t lose subscribers. The backyard project looks fantastic. PS: will you regret putting the pond so close to the falling leaves.
You guys did an incredible job!!!
Excellent video! Please don't hold back, even the moments of super stress. Seeing how you two work through things is great! Who cares how some perceive it or your interactions. It just shows how real this stuff is. For those watching and wanting to tackle similar projects, they would understand, hey it's not a perfect nor uncomplicated process. You're an inspiration to those folks showing them that they can get through it. Just as you have. I personally like to see of the "down & dirty" rather than "oh, that was just so seamless and perfect." Keep the vids coming!
Girl you absolutely deserve a good cry ! You both worked soooooo hard this whole summer !! Yall have truly changed your back yard so much ! And it looks incredible!
