Linearis after a bath

I REALLY need to cut it because my cat goes nuts but I just can’t bring myself to do it.
I keep it rolled up on a lower shelf so that the cat can’t reach it.

Took it out to give its seasonal bath today. Found that it has a whole bunch of peduncles.

This plant is just something else.
