Staff and residents at Flowerdown Care Home, in Winchester, have been planting seeds, hanging baskets and harvesting vegetables.
They worked together to decorate the grounds with colourful plants and pots, and enjoyed a homemade soup using vegetables they had grown themselves.

Claudia Nunes, general manager at Flowerdown, said: “Our garden is a much-loved space, residents really enjoy looking after the plants and flowers, watching them grow and change through the seasons.
“Seeing all of the trees in blossom is such a tonic for us all too.”
The care home has also created a designated seating area for the summer months.
Marion, a resident at Flowerdown, said: “I’ve always loved gardening so it is fantastic to be able to keep that going, I find it really therapeutic to be outside in the fresh air and to be able to grow my favourite flowers and shrubs.
“It’s so lovely to see all the beautiful blooms, we all really enjoyed creating our vegetable patch, pretty pots and hanging baskets.”
