I under-watered it, didn’t water it over a week, and sadly it hasn’t perked back up within 24 hours. I am soooo sad because it was doing sooo good! 😞

It has enough life in it that you can chop and prop.

Well. Better than the undulata killing you right?

It may bounce back. Keep it out of direct light.

It might bounce back. The moment I delayed watering mine by week after owning it for several months, it dropped all the leaves and then regrew new ones after being a bare vine for a couple of weeks. I didn’t do anything extra with it and would have tossed it but felt bad.

I made the same mistake and didn’t water some of my Hoyas for 3 weeks. I soaked the plants for a few hours, and now (1 week after) they are bouncing back. The variegated Hoyas are still light green, but the leaves are plump again.

I would take several cuttings. Those leaves look quite papery. So sorry this happened.

How often did you water it? Is this first time this has happened?

  7. Definitely take some cuttings now! It could still be okay though. If you really think it’s near death, you can also check out the roots to see if they’re rotting and try to treat that.

It feels like hoya should generally be able to tolerate a week without watering, even thin leaved ones.
