More Russell Crowe More Russell Crowe

Russell Crowe is trading in the red carpet for a guitar strap this December, returning to the stage for one night only with his musical project Indoor Garden Party.

Fresh off a whirlwind run of feature film shoots across the globe, Crowe is squeezing in a rare live performance with Indoor Garden Party, a collective that has graced stages from Glastonbury to Rome’s Colosseum. But on Saturday the 20th of December, the band will be bringing it home to headline Sydney’s Enmore Theatre, which will also be their only show for 2025.

Crowe, who’s been balancing back-to-back film roles with his passion for music, describes Indoor Garden Party as “stories, songs, and surprises.” Fans can expect a night full of originals, covers, and collaborations, laced with the energy of rock, blues, country, and gospel.

Originally born in 2009 during an impromptu jam session outside a London pub, Indoor Garden Party has grown into a full-scale, international touring band. The band’s performances have taken over iconic venues such as Tipitina’s in New Orleans, La Cigale in Paris, and the ancient amphitheatre in Pompeii.

“I’m really looking forward to this concert,” says Crowe. “It has been a little frustrating having to put some music things aside for the day job as the year has gone on, but you won’t hear me complaining. In my profession, too much work is a bonus. For the band, this gig will be like a celebration. A heavy work year behind us, one big blow out to finish the year will be so much fun. It’ll be like the Christmas show you go to when you don’t really want to go to a Christmas show. It’s not official, but I’m pretty sure we will have a ‘no reindeer’ policy on the night.”
