Currently started late august and im in zone 10a and 10b. I been feeding this plant regularly with a 20 20 20 liquid fertilizer and gorwing this on a 40 gal growbag which was recomended to me when growing carving pumpkins. Im a little confused cus im not sure how or when my pumpkin vine should be thick. Im concerned because im not sure if the plant will continue to thicken up.

TLDR Iwanted to note that i have grown in this spot before with a fairytale pumpkin and have gotten 3 decently sized fruits!

Seems like it’s growing pretty slow.

A 20-20-20 doesn’t actually have that ratio of macronutrients in the solution. It’s closer to 20-9-17 once you do the actual elemental conversions.

I would probably add some monopotassium phosphate with your other fertilizer. Use 2 parts of the 20-20-20 and 1 part MPK.

I also allow the medium to dry out pretty well for the first month or two in large containers. It makes plants root faster, IME. I use a tensiometer to determine when to water. It tells you the surface tension of water in your media. As it dries out, plants have to exert more hydraulic force for a drink.
