“Stuck” in the closet with my Hoyas for hours! 🤣. How long do you spend with YOUR Hoyas every day ?
My husband says I spend an awful lot of time with my Hoyas! I say, “yes, and…???” What’s your typical time everyday and what’s your “plant chore day” time?
Uh I end up puttering around for hours at a time pretty regularly also. My husband is very patient with my tendency to “I’ll be right there, let me finish watering” and then I end up getting distracted and rearranging things or doing other small tasks.

My weekly waterings take around 2 hours.

Friday or Saturday is a whole day event each week with watering, pest prevention and foliar fertilizer. I’ve got around 110 or so different species so it’s definitely a labor of love and passion that at times is overwhelming. This week Minibelle is blooming for first time in 4 years so there’s moments that make it all worth while.
I spend at least an hour every day with my hoyas, and a lot more on watering days. Repotting and trellising plants can take up a whole weekend!

The Addams Family had a plant conservatory off the living room…I always wanted one… There’s another in The Big Sleep movie. We are historically validated to live inside a Wardian Case

In semi hydro….3/4 hrs to get them all (50+) flushed and water replaced, once a week. Look at them everyday though!!

Cleaned a 1/4 of them Thursday night. Friday night another 1/4 for about 2 hours, and watered another 1/4 —- the last of them are just observing 😊🤣

My husband comes back from work and asks me “Dah tengok pokok awak ke harini? which means “Have you looked at your plants today?”
Some days when he works from home, he sees me going back and forth, back and forth watering. When I dont, he asks me the same question 🫠

My hoyas are literally beside my home workstation, so I spend more time with them than with my hubby! ^_^’
Oh-shitake-naw
Echoing others.. spend chunks of time, multiple times a day, everyday. Hours on plant chore day especially 😅
