A shooting on Garden Street Monday night left an adult male in critical but stable condition, the Titusville Police Department announced Friday.
The incident is believed to be an isolated event between known individuals, with no ongoing threat to the community, police said.
Titusville police officers responded to the 400 block of Garden Street at approximately 10:05 p.m. Oct. 6 for a report of an adult male with multiple gunshot wounds.
Patrol officers gave aid to the victim, who was then life-flighted to an area hospital. Authorities reported that another adult male was located near the scene and was determined to be the other involved party.
“At this time, our investigation indicates this was an isolated incident between known individuals and there is no ongoing threat to our community,” Detective Sergeant Bryan Nelson said in a news release.

Detectives are gathering statements and reviewing evidence to determine the events that led to the shooting.
Nelson added, “Our detectives have been and will continue to work diligently to gather all available evidence and speak with witnesses to ensure justice is served.”
No arrests have been made as of Friday, Oct. 11, but police expect charges to be filed once all evidence is processed and analyzed.
