Imaginative entrepreneur Janna Whitworth invited 90 local women to the Stolen Lamb, a new restaurant in Knutsford, run by close family friends.

Little did they know that she was launching her own new business, The Floral Bar Cheshire.

Janna, 37, said: “They couldn’t believe it when they walked in and saw £1,000 worth of flowers in the window.

“It was a great surprise, a real celebration.

“We had delicious mezze and lively entertainment from a belly dancer.”

Guests included business owners, footballers’ wives and women from the local community.

The mum-of-three has come up with a unique idea, creating one of the UK’s first mobile flower bars.

Janna has designed a luxury umbrella flower cart where guests can create their own bouquets.

The new venture can be hired for baby showers, corporate events, birthday parties, community events and grand openings.

Janna said: “We have beautiful, luxury handpicked blooms, such as hydrangea, garden roses, double snap dragons and dahlias.

“These large focal flowers are in gorgeous colours from dusky lilac to cream.

“The concept is that guests can select five stems and create their own bouquet, beautifully wrapped in satin ribbon inside a kraft flower bag.”

Janna is related to Stolen Lamb owner George Hadjiyannis and restaurant manager Vas Theophanous.

“The evening was full of surprises.

“The food was absolutely delicious. We were served an array of authentic Greek Mezze.

“It was a vibrant celebration of food, connection and creativity.

“It was very lively as everyone was dancing.

“We are so lucky to be in a town like Knutsford where people really do come together and wish you well.

“A lot of my friends who have businesses in the town gave me prizes.
