The Grow a Garden Spooky Egg was added to the game as part of the Halloween update and offers you the chance to add new pets to your garden.
Much like the Oasis Egg, getting a Spooky Egg involves a little bit of luck and Candy Corn in Grow a Garden. If you’re lucky, then you might find yourself a useful pet like the Headless Horseman!
With this in mind, let’s learn how to get the Spooky Egg in Grow a Garden, including the Spooky Egg pet traits.

Spooky Egg
Cost: 30 Candy Corn
Rarity: Legendary
Hatch Time: 4 hours and 10 minutes
Obtainable: Yes
How to get the Spooky Egg
The Spooky Egg can be brought from the Halloween Market pet stall. Since this stall is only around for 20 minutes every hour during this event, you’ll have a limited time to access the vendor and purchase this egg. There may also be fairly limited stock when it rolls around, and so if you want more, you’ll unfortunately have to pay with Robux for additional shots at the pet you want.

The Spooky Egg costs 30 Candy Corn, which is an event currency you earn by submitting crops to the Witch to fill up her cauldron. It takes just over four hours to hatch, so it’s one you’ll have to leave for a while before finding out which pet you’ve rolled for.
There are five Spooky Egg pets, so let’s take a look at their odds…

Spooky Egg Pet Traits
Here are the traits for all of the Spooky Egg pets:
Pet
Trait
Bat
Nearby Spooky plants have a variant chance bonus.
Bone Dog
Every 76 seconds, has a 15% chance to dig up a random seed – including one specific to the Bone Dog.
Spider
Every 8 mins, creates a web. Pets on this web advance their cooldown by an extra 1-second for every passing second, whilst plants advanced 15-seconds of progress per second.
Black Cat
Every 2-4 mins, naps nearby to a Witch’s Cauldron cosmetic causing nearby fruit to grow in size by 1-2x.
Headless Horseman
‘Haunts’ a random pet at level 50 to reset their level and apply one of four mutations: Dreadbond, Soulflame, Spectral, or Nightmare (which has a 2.04% chance to be applied).
In our opinion, the best pets from the Spooky Egg are the Headless Horseman and Black Cat.

The Headless Horseman is great just for its access to four unique mutations that can boost various attributes of your pets, meanwhile the Black Cat can increase the size of fruit that will yield higher sell values and more.
Best of luck hatching the Spooky Egg! Make sure to check out the Grow a Garden codes page and seeds list.
