So I have this beautiful aztekium graft and the hylocerus stock rotted, so I cut all the hylo flesh off and left the fresh vascular stem not affected by the rot, slit the vascular stem a few times (so multiple grow points can possibly connect) Then stab grafted it onto a clyindropuntia.
I'm probably going to have to end up try to root these and do some actual grafts the normal way, but if this works I'd be so happy.
I hate having to mess with it being such a rare species and well formed graft, but if I gotta chop it up I will, thinking about an opuntia graft that's lined with them so they can still grow together if worst comes to worst. Any thoughts? Seems feasible in theory right?
