The Headless Horseman is one of the five pets in Grow a Garden that can be hatched from the Spooky Egg.

Both the Headless Horseman and the Spooky Egg were released as part of the Halloween event. And while you may be on a quest to collect all of the pets, say something about the trait.

How to get the Headless Horseman

To get the Headless Horseman, you’ll need to get hold of a Spooky Egg. The odds are quite low, with just a 0.5% chance of hatching a Headless Horseman.

You’ll be able to buy the Spooky Egg as a part of the Halloween event, sold for 30 Candy Corn at the pet stall in the Halloween Market. Since the Market is only around for 20 minutes every hour, you’ll want to make sure you have enough Candy Corn all ready for when it arrives.

Should it be in stock, you’ll be able to buy a Spooky egg and try your luck at getting the Headless Horseman!

Headless Horseman traits

The Headless Horseman’s trait is quite unique: Every 40 minutes, it will ‘haunt’ a random pet that’s around level 50. In doing so, it’ll reset their level back down to 1 and grant one of four mutations such as Dreadbound, Soulflame, or Spectral, with a low chance of 2.04% for it to grant the Nightmare mutation.

With the potential of four different mutations, this pet is no doubt one you’ll likely want to keep around in your garden.
