I got this dragon fruit cactus last week and upon looking closer, I think this can be propagated into three or four plants. I was told this cutting was a year old but I feel it should be bigger.
Ive propagated before but not cacti. I need some advice. Please and thank you!

Sorry that isn’t like any dragon fruit cactus I’ve seen. And you can propagate by taking off a piece at an elbow or segment, letting It dry out and putting it in some succulent soil.
It could be almost a year old. Here is mine (multiple plants) grown from seed. I planted them last spring. Their base and roots are very daintly when they are that small so I would not disturb it for now! And yes what you have is a dragon fruit baby! It looks a bit rough but it will be fine. I found that it needs watering similar to a succulent and it will give you signs when its thirsty, the stems are going to feel light and weak.
