I’ve always had a clear vision for my dream home: a large front porch I can decorate for every season, lots of windows to let in natural light, and a cozy interior filled with plenty of knick-knacks. And while it’s not quite what I have in mind, I found a tiny home on Amazon that surprisingly checks off a lot on my wish list.
This prefabricated container home features two bedrooms, a bathroom, and an open-concept kitchen and living space. But most importantly, it has the front patio I’ve always wanted: It’s big enough to fit a few rocking chairs and an outdoor dining set, with room to spare for holiday decor or potted plants. And while I don’t like to imagine the price tag on my fantasy dream home, this surely comes in under budget at less than $48,000.

While it’s technically a tiny home, the cozy 600-square-foot house is spacious enough for a single occupant, a couple, or even a small family. Both bedrooms are big enough to fit a double bed, and the open living space has ample room for a sofa, TV, and a small dining table.
There are 10 large windows around the entire home, which are sure to bring in tons of natural light and make the space feel larger than it actually is—a much-needed feature in a tiny house. There’s even a small window in the bathroom (no more showering in the dark!) and one above the kitchen counter, another feature I always pictured in my forever home. Each window comes with built-in screens to let fresh air in while keeping bugs out.
But the best part of the entire house has to be the oversized covered front porch, which is connected to the living room with a sliding glass door. If I lived here, I’d keep the door open to extend my living space outdoors on mild days. I love that the roof provides a spot to hang ferns or string lights for cozy evenings out on the patio.
Back inside, the modern L-shaped kitchen comes with white cabinets, sintered stone countertops, and a sink. You’ll just need to supply your own appliances. However, the bathroom comes fully equipped with everything you need: a toilet, shower, sink, exhaust fan, and a storage cabinet and mirror. Standard electrical and plumbing systems are included throughout the home.
Every room has light wood-grained PVC flooring that provides the look (but not the upkeep) of hardwood. On top of that, the home is a blank slate to design with your own personal touches, whether it’s bold paint and floral wallpaper or neutral rugs and timeless decor.
