I have a suggestion for the diseased boxwoods. Instead of ripping them out try spraying the faded leaves with lawn paint. I spray dog pee spot with the paint and it works remarkably well. I buy it from Amazon. It's all natural and nontoxic. I apply it with a gallon hand sprayer. You have to experiment with getting the shade to match whatever you are spraying. It doesn't wash off lasting for weeks. Great product.
Do you not use Biotone with box woods in general, or is it just the time of year for those plantings?
I start every day, except Saturday, with you and a cup of coffee. I am a master gardener, but you still have taught me so much. We had a frost last weekend, and my husband was so impressed that I knew what had to be harvested and /or moved into the unheated greenhouse.
perfect timing, just last night we had our first night with any sort of frost, and it dropped to 28 degrees.
Aaron was taught well. "I love it" lol
Thank you
I enjoy watching you everyday. You are such a wealth of information. PLEASE consider safety glasses especially around the mangave! My daughter in law received major eye damage from bougainvilla thorn. I live in Az and mangave type plants can do a major amount of damage. Thank you for your awesome site and all you do.
In North Texas my lemon coral sedum survives the winter. It's been outside for 4 years now.
I have that begonia in my landscape. I didn’t think to pot it up. I have a new project! 😊
Loved watching you get ready for the cold weather by moving things into the greenhouse. I was just wondering if you were still using your greenstalk vertical planter? I didn't notice it in the greenhouse. I love watching your videos and I have learned so much from you.
I am going to second or third putting those Rex begonias in the west side pots next year!
Anyone else gasp out loud when the pot wobbled in the back of the gator?😅
Do you think it would be beneficial to get your small tiller and work the open ground of some of your hardpan areas before you plant? I know you have mulched, but working some of the compost into the hardpan wouldn't hurt and the plants might establish faster in looser soil.
Hi, Laura. Thank you for all that you and Aaron do to encourage and educate "newbies." Y'all are amazing, and I have learned so much over the years.
This is my first Autumn season with a small greenhouse, (8X12). What is the ideal temperature to maintain during the cooler weather? Should a certain humidity be maintained as well?
Thank you for your videos ❤ I’m always looking forward to my mornings , you’re my inspiration for my garden 🪴 ❤😊
Laura can you do a video about winterizing your berries?
I have had good success taking cuttings of wax begonias and diamond frost euphorbia to grow over the winter which also make nice houseplants. I'll be curious to see how the fuchsia does, it's one of my favorite plants. I rarely see you use it, is hard to grow in your climate?
I overwintered the euphorbia last year. It gets pretty leggy so I cut it back this spring and it was fine. 😊
I like how you top dressed your 2 boxwood pots with pine cones. It looks great, and hopefully protects the plants as they overwinter outside. Those begonias are gorgeous! Does Russell like the chickens, and do they all get along together?
Thanks for sharing.
Dear Laura and family, your videos, are so peaceful to watch, and informative.💞
Wouldn't the chickens have liked that lemon coral sedum?
I’m cracking up Over the chicken and Russel peeking around the pop up bag 😂
👍😀😀🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Plant Paradise 🤗😇
Love the pinecone idea for a top dressing. So pretty.
Love all the planting and taking out the Gave (?) sedum grew so big so pretty. Chickens are so cute yep same color as Russell.
Oh no I don’t want to say goodbye to the summer
Wait! Was that Aaron in a non-plaid shirt?!? 😉
I love watching the seasons change in your garden! Will the Mangave stay in the greenhouse all winter? What temp do you keep it in there? I have a 3 season sunroom on the south side of my home. I have a Rex begonia, Mangaves, and a lime tree that I want to winter in there but not sure what temp I need to try to maintain. I’m in southeast Wisconsin zone 6 but we do get some subzero days in late winter.
Don’t you have one by the chicken coop?
Love Laura’s dirty face and arms! Such a beautiful gardner‼️ Love this channel so much! ❌❌‼️
