Hi planty people. Would purchasing this TC be worth it? I have never dealt with TC so I’m unsure the success rate for something like this. Is this company reliable?
If you’ve never TC’d before there are so many cheaper options out there to learn and get the hang of it. And of corse lot of information on how to succeed. It can get addictive. I do not know this particular company. But I have seen white monsters go for half that on Palmstreet or orangelakenursery. The last 2 white monsters I purchased were under $18. Good luck

TheGreenEscape on Etsy has a few white monsters that are around that price and much more established.
TC can be finicky. I bought one from them about a year ago and it almost died multiple times. Thankfully, she’s still alive now but it was a journey.

Got mine for ~$20 on palmstreet

Not a bad price but you could find cheaper if you were ok with searching it out on Palmstreet. I’ve bought from jacks beanstalks before and the TC was just not up to my standard.
Microcultivate will often have them for cheaper and good quality. MonsterRoots and Mooseroots have pretty good imports, usually, as well.

If you’ve never done TC, I would look at doing something cheaper and easier. Orange Lake Nursery has packs of philodendron TCs for $16-$20. They have TC starter pack equipment too that will include little cups with lids, explanation videos/paragraph walkthroughs, soil(I’d recommend using sphagnum or perlite instead of the soil) and little fertilizers. It’s a nice place to start on a budget.
Edit: OLN has a pack of 10 ppps for $10 as a good start. Just wanted to add!

Got mine for about $30 including shipping on whatnot. There’s an excellent TC seller there – puzzle piece dad. I’ve bought ~50 TCs from him and they’re all such great quality! You can get some absolute steals on his page

A Little high imo.

I got my TC from whatnot and from a seller that I always get all my plants from. He’s awesome. He’ll usually have TCs as well as established plants. Capcityplants and another is puzzlepiecedad
