🌿 ABOUT GARLIC CHIVES:
Garlic chives (Allium tuberosum) are a perennial herb with flat, garlic-flavored leaves and beautiful white flowers. They’re easier to grow than regular chives and come back year after year!

For Transplants:
– Garlic chive plants (from nursery or divisions)

• Soil: Well-draining, pH 6.0-7.0
• Spacing: 6-8 inches apart
• Water: Moderate, keep soil consistently moist
🌱 SEED PLANTING INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost
2. Plant seeds 1/4 inch deep

4. Germination takes 14-21 days
5. Transplant outdoors after last frost
🪴 TRANSPLANTING INSTRUCTIONS:

2. Prepare soil with compost
3. Dig holes 6-8 inches apart
4. Plant at same depth as container
5. Water thoroughly after planting
6. Apply 2-inch layer of mulch
💡 PRO TIPS:
✅ Garlic chives self-seed readily – deadhead flowers to prevent spreading
✅ Divide clumps every 3-4 years to maintain vigor
✅ Cut leaves 2 inches above soil for continuous harvest
✅ Flowers are edible and make beautiful garnishes
✅ Plants are drought-tolerant once established
❓ COMMON QUESTIONS ANSWERED:
• How long until harvest? 60-90 days from seed, immediate from transplants
• Can I grow in containers? Yes! Use pots at least 8 inches deep
• Are they invasive? They can self-seed; remove flower heads to control
• Winter care? Cut back in fall, mulch heavily in cold climates
