My friend gave me this cactus in the spring. My first plant. It’s grown a lot but now it’s getting droopy. I don’t know if I’m overwatering, underwatering, or if it’s just gotten too heavy for its own benefit. I’d appreciate any advice. Thank you. Last picture shows how the plant looked in June shortly after its flowers had started to fall off

Also, I forgot to mention, tonight I noticed some very tiny insects in the soil while I was checking its moisture. I’m currently awaiting a response from r/whatisthisbug to see if I should be concerned about pest management
All of these epiphytic cacti droop as they get longer; that’s normal.
Easter cacti are more sensitive to overwatering than the other two, and you should let the soil dry out a bit before watering. A container that doesn’t drain isn’t good for them, so you might want to repot it into a regular pot with a drainage tray.
Tiny mites are normal in healthy organic soil, but see if you can identify them. You don’t want fungus gnats.
It looks super healthy to me! Especially for being in a metal can (possibly without drainage)!
