WINTERSVILLE — Members of the Jefferson County Woodland Garden Club met Oct. 2, with 10 members in attendance.

Roll call was taken by attendees answering they were present by stating whether or not they use fresh flowers in their home.

Member Susan Tartar of Mingo Junction served as hostess. Tartar served vegetables and pumpkin cake, decorating the tables in a fall theme.

The new officers for the 2026-28 term were installed by Carole Patton, who put together a “very nice, meaningful program” and presented a relevant gift to each officer.

Outgoing President Norma Harris presented a bouquet of roses to incoming President Elaine Wukelic. Flower arrangements were given to supporting officers.

Woodland members will join the Rosebud Club, which is hosting the OAGC Regional 12 meeting from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 18 at Friends Church, located at 478 Union St. in Mount Pleasant.

The cost will be $15 and include a light breakfast and lunch. The meeting is open to the public.

To reserve a seat, call (614) 256-3273 by Saturday. The guest speaker will be Daniel Lima from the Belmont County Ohio State University Extension office.

If you are a gardener and would like to join the group, phone in a reservation and meet the members.
