This is Steve Mill’s incredible edible tunnel on his allotment plot in Barnet, London! What an absolute inspiration. Using and 8ft tall polytunnel frame, he has created one of the most amazing garden features I’ve ever seen, and this is his own private space! As well as amazing pumpkin displays, he also grows fruit, flowers, and climbers along this tunnel.

Steve was this year’s winner of the Gardena Top of the Plots competition! https://www.gardena.com/uk/c/discover/gardening/magazine/top-of-the-plots

  1. That's absolutely wonderful. I now have a new task. Hopefully it works for me. Regardless, I'll get enjoyment from it, which is what matters most.

  2. I have one of those frame shelters… I’ve always it known it could be useful – greenhouse/hothouse-tomatoes – but now I know how I will use it! Thank you for this fantastic, beautific garden!

  3. What a beautiful garden! I planted fruit trees when we bought our homestead in 1982, and they are still producing beautiful fruit today. Right now the pears are in season. So far we have canned 39 quarts of pears this fall, and we have shared a lot of pears with friends and neighbors. Fruit is nature's candy, and our reward for tending its trees.
