[Music] Welcome back everybody. So, I’m going to be doing my sideyard and front yard garden tour. And this is for September. I know this will probably go up in October. Next year, I’m going to be really good. I think my goal is going to be to have my garden tours be at the beginning of the month instead of the end of the month because I’m always a little bit behind. So, that’s just how it is. But, this is how my garden is in September. I promise. It’s been kind of fun because we had these holly hawk receded again and bloom again. If you remember in the beginning of summer these grew, they were super tall, maybe 10 feet. Pulled them out. Got lots of little seeds growing everywhere. I’m going to decide once I get everything out of here what I’m going to keep. But then they grew tall and bloomed again, which is kind of crazy. And I kind of don’t understand because they’re bianual. They only bloom every other year. So I don’t know how that happened. I don’t know. I don’t know enough about them, but they’re really really pretty. They’re um like a light white right here and then also a light pink and then this darker pink. So pretty. So that’s been a fun little surprise. I didn’t expect to have anything else back there, but those shot up. I have my illusion dalas. I think I’m going to move them for next year. And I’m trying to decide. I think I’m going to try to I don’t know what I’m going to do. I might leave them in here and then transfer them later. I’m not sure what’s best to do. I’ll have to do a little research on that. In my zone, especially in this spot, I can keep them underground. I like to pile a little bit of mulch on top, but I can get them to stay. We’re kind of on the edge. I think they’re zone eight das, but this spot stays so sunny here that I think that’s why I have a good success rate. I lost one here last year, but both of those came back. So, yeah, that’s been kind of fun, but I need to do a little research on that. But those have been wonderful. This is their second year, and so it’s so nice to be able to buy plants and get a few years out of them, especially ones that are a little bit more money. But these are really pretty. I know they have mystic illusion dalas. Um, well, anyway, I don’t know the exact name, but they have some proven winners with different color blooms. I really like this yellow, though. But I know you can get some that are kind of an orangey coral and maybe even some different ones. I’m not sure. But tomatoes are about done. We did about five batches of salsa. I have the recipe on my YouTube channel. It’s really good. And they’re still producing. Got more tomatoes coming. Have to pull those off pretty soon, I think. And then same thing in here. The snapdragons are kind of phasing out a little bit. We’ve got a few of these. I think I might try some of these varieties again next year. We had the PTOAC lavender, PTOAC cherry, and Chantelli White. Piper, stay here. Chantelli white. And then also butterfly rose or something like that. Madame butterfly rose. Yeah, that’s this one. So pretty. But they’re they’re slowing down a little bit. And then I’m gonna have my Dalia tour soon, so I don’t want to show too many of these, but I’ll show you up close some of them. So, that’s going to be really fun. Lots of fun different varieties that I tried out this year. These are really tall stems, which is really nice for cut flowers, and I’ve enjoyed all of these. All four of these ones are staying. And I’ve discovered I really like the pom pom. Oh, there’s a grasshopper there. Hi, buddy. This one’s my favorite. Oh my gosh, look at that. It’s so pretty. Um, and then I have more tomatoes coming on here. These pineapple tomatoes have been really good. I think if you’re a really big tomato lover, you’ll think that they don’t have much flavor, but I kind of like them cuz they’re not super acidic, so I’ve liked them a lot. Need to come pick them. Here’s all the other Dalia. Um, this is the time of year they’re really starting to bloom really well. It gets really hot here in the summer and they kind of lull out here in our 7A zone, but now they’re really starting to bloom. So, I’ll definitely go over the varieties when I do that. And I should be filming that probably tomorrow and then show it in a week or so because I’m a little bit behind in my videos. But look how many pretty ones there are. We’ll go over all the names. The pompom ones are my favorite. Look at that. Oh my gosh. Okay, we don’t want to show too many. But there’s lots of pretty colors. I already know which ones I’m going to keep and which ones I’m going to be done with next year. But that’s been really fun for me and I’m excited to get more into them. We’ve had so many raspberries this year. Oh my goodness. I’ve put a lot in freezers. I’ve made freezer jam. Don’t need to make any more jam. I need to come out here one more time and pick. And every time I come out here to look at the Dalia, I pick raspberries because they’re so good for snacking. Love them. So, that’s been a really fun thing. I need to cut back this daisy. They all start to look like that at the end of the season. But one thing that just keeps on going all summer long is this Molino rose. Nobody really talks about it. And every time I go to a garden center that sells David Austin, this one’s kind of the leftover one. And that’s why I got this one. That is a perfect roast right there. Look at those outer petals. So pretty. But yeah, nobody really talks about this one. And I just love it. It has different tones of peach, yellow, and white. And it gets a little more pink as it gets a little cooler. And it’s my best repeat bloomer. See, there’s the Katy did. See it? Cute guy. And then my anacrosse is starting to relum again, too. Oh my goodness. Love this one. Always say this, best smelling rose, the lightest fragrance, but you really got to get your nose in there. But it’s Oh, I love it. And then these are going to bloom again for me, too. Just not quite yet. So maybe in October you’ll see those. But I’m glad that this one always just shows up. Love it. The Gabriel Oops. The Gabriel Oak is going to bloom. I’ve got some James Galloway blooms. I need to do something about this rose. I got to put it up against the house. So frilly. I have something. I just haven’t come out here to train it on anything terrible. Um, but look how pretty everything is. Not not many big changes. The porch is a big change right now. And again, more patunias over the side of these. Love that so much. Spilling over the rocks. I mean, how pretty is that? Yeah, I don’t want this to be too long because it’s really not too different than than last time except for this grass is really pretty. The misuse is creeping over the rocks. And I do think Proven Winners is a little bit bigger. This is really tiny. So, I’m going to make sure to try to get Proven Winners next year. And look at this beautiful weed. How cute is that? Oh my gosh. I need to come in here and take care of some of this over here. I’ll have some more Ustaceia vi blooms hopefully in October. This one shot up a big That made me scared about how big this is going to get. This is the Emily Bronte. So maybe we’ll see another bloom. The salvia got really big here. And then here is this rose right here. This is a scepter dial. So pretty next to this purple. And I’m going to have a few more blooms. Oh, I love how it’s coming up through here. Why do we still have aphits? What’s going on? It’s like not that hot outside. So that’s been a really fun combo and I’m going to repeat that next year for sure. Look at that glow of pink, you guys. Oh my goodness. I’ve loved the tiara pink. It’s been so fun. Oh, it’s going to be a glorious cool day. I’m so excited. Look at the clouds. Um, I really have like this alysum and it’s a cheap, I should say, inexpensive plant and it really is a nice filler as I until I figure this area out. I say this every time, you guys. I just want to show you this. The angelonia white so fun. Tiara pink is a star for sure. I thought it would just be little pops of pink, but it’s just taken over and I’m just letting it. But look how fun. I’ll leave it up as long as I can. I will come in and trim these boxwoods as soon as it cools down. Just a little bit more into the 70s. If you do it too soon, it’ll burn. And too late, it’ll freeze and burn. Haven’t got a ton of growth out of this tree this year. Just this much, but still still living. And how fun is it to see pots up here? I did a front porch makeover. And I love the pink and orange together. That’s what I went with this year. I mean, I do that quite often, actually. But I think it looks so cute with the pink and orange. Don’t you? I did bring out some clay pots that I had. They’re jacko’lanterns, but I just turn them around and then when October comes, I’ll just flip them and put some lights in there. So, I like to do fall first and then Halloween if I can. And yeah, I just really like this combination. My mom is starting to bloom over there, you can see. And so, you can really see that pink and orange. I’m going to get ready and take these out. It’s just looking too full by this time of year. And these have just been covered with bugs all year. So, I’m just going to come probably today and just pull all these out and just have it be fresh and just the boxwoods. And the boxwoods are doing so well. And I think it’s because I put a lot of iron tone in here. Let’s see if you can see any. They’re like little pellets. I think I see one. I can’t find any. Oh, anyway, they’re little pellets that you put in here. And I put quite a bit because these always struggle with chlorosis and they’ve stayed such a deep green and they’ve done really well this year. Haven’t burned a lot. I’ve been pretty good about watering and fertilizing these flowers. But yeah, when it gets to look like there’s a lot going on, I feel a little suffocated. So, I’m going to pull these out. They’ll be done for this year. And then our eye can focus on some other things. But the front porch is great. So glad that’s done. Look how pretty this orange mum is. It goes from a pink orange and then it will turn yellow. But I love it when it’s like this. It’s my favorite. Planted some pansies in here. They’re just starting to bloom. In October they’ll be blooming a lot more, I think. And I might move these pots out in the back. Um, we’ll see because I’m going to have different pots out here in the front for Halloween. I have links to all these things in that video so you can check it out. And my grass died, but I still think it looks good. I don’t know why it died. I was like, that used to be green. And I looked back at my video and I was like, yes, it used to be green. But I mean, it looks like fall, so it’s okay. I don’t really care. Um, it’ll just be up here for probably three more weeks. More white pansies in here. So cute. And the purple’s just starting to bloom. That’s fun. It’s really fun when all the lights are on here in the evening. And then I plug in this. Love this. So cute. It’s got little twinkle lights in it. Just lights up the porch a little bit. and just went with the black and white and pink and yellow together over here in this pot. So cute. Trying to find a flower that’s not these two. Look how cute. Oh my gosh, I love pansies. So, so much. Yes. Okay, so that’s fun. And it’s cooling down and I just love it. But yeah, see how full these are looking? And I’m just ready to have it look clean. I need to come back and just trim them up a little bit. But look how green they are. Usually this time of year, they’re a little burnt. You can see where I cut them back last time. They do get a little burnt edge. To kind of do it, you have to time it right. I feel like we’re getting one last bloom of this. This is a starry starry night hibiscus. It has been blooming so much, but it’s in a little low period. But look, these are all buds. It’s going to bloom more. This has been going so long. There’s more. Oh my goodness. That’s insane. I’m going to have a lot more blooms on this. I hope this tree survives. And why is it tilting so much? I need to fix that. I have such a hard time with these trees. I don’t know what the deal is. I thought this was too much, but I’m kind of liking it. This layering here, the opolescence flocks, the limelight hydrangeas, the blue Skywalker Veronica, which is amazing, and the tiara pink. And I think that’s a fun combo. A little busy, but it’s okay. Dillies are moving out. Just need time to do it. Someone was asking how my glow girls were doing. They’re doing okay. I’m not sure what’s going on. I’m wondering if Oh, there’s a huge weed. I’m wondering if they’re not in enough sun to stay that light green cuz they’re supposed to be like this and they’ve just kind of become dark green and they get a lot of water stains on them. Not a lot of my plants do that, but this one has. So, they’re doing okay. Not as good as I’d like them to. But, you know, can’t win them all. And one last view of this because I think these flowers are going to be gone fairly soon. Really pretty. Love the pink and white and purple. Okay, so that’s it. It’s going to be kind of a short garden tour, but there’s really not anything that’s majorly different, and I don’t want to bore you guys. But the pink has been so fun. Look at it. It’s just a glow of pink. Beautiful day. Thanks so much for joining me. I hope you guys like this. And next up out here will be my Halloween porch. We’ll see you guys later. Bye. [Music]
