Hello and welcome to Japanese Garden Bristol. Now, five different styles of Japanese garden. Where would you find them in Japan? Let’s go and find out. [Music] a courtyard. You would generally find them in the back of shops or in amongst a builtup area to give that glimpse of nature. Straw gardens. They’re what we call parks where you can stroll through and enjoy the Japanese elements. [Applause] Then rock gardens. You would generally find them in a Buddhist temple or a monastery. It’s said to have a calming effect on the mind. [Music] The Japanese tea garden. You’ll generally find them in a monk’s house, a private house, a public place, but they all lead to the tea house. [Music] Wherever you go in the Japanese garden, you will hear running water. And if you’re lucky enough, you will see a koi pond. [Music] Where can you experience all five Japanese style gardens and more? Right here at Japanese Garden Bristol. Hope to see you soon.
