After a brief business meeting, members enjoyed socializing and partook in awesome refreshments prepared by Hostesses, Sherri Carty, Debbie Hoaglin, Rebecca Harrison, and Pollyanna Patterson.

The club’s youth gardeners, the Butterbeans, kicked off their new year with a lively game of Pollinator Bingo on a sunny day filled with curious kids and buzzing excitement.

Third- and fourth-graders gathered, learning about the vital role pollinators play in our gardens. With help from Brittney Warren, Nikki Smith, Chelsey Simmons and Beta Club students, it wasn’t just a game — it was a joyful start to a season of growth, discovery, and green thumbs in the making.

The Club’s September meeting was Tuesday the 9th at the American Legion Drane-Prine Post 79. Those in attendance were Teri Bath, Marilyn Britt, Sherri Carty, Sherry Davis, Robin Furr, Debbie Hoaglin, Rhonda Ishee, Denise Jackson, June Owens, Pam Owens, Pollyanna Patterson, Jennifer Peets, Jean Ricks, Debbie Smith, Lisa Smith, Sheila Stewart, and Stanley Stewart.

WGC President Sherri Carty called the meeting to order and welcomed all in attendance. Jean Ricks led the members in reciting the Club’s Collect. Carty and club member Robin Furr presented a most informative program emphasizing breast cancer awareness and screening. The club then entered into the month’s business session. Hostesses Denise Jackson, Jennifer Peets, Lisa Smith, and Debbie Smith provided delicious refreshments. The meeting was adjourned after the making of pink bows to be placed around town to promote Breast Cancer Awareness.
