Happy Monday. Huge thanks to Phil for holding down the newsletter as I moved into a new apartment last week — don’t worry, I’m still in Hell’s Kitchen, just a block south and smidge further west! More summer-like weather is in store today with plenty of sunshine and a high of 80 degrees. Enjoy it while you can — rain is coming midweek.

Thanks to Summer Snyder for capturing this striking moment on the Hudson: the Mexican Navy’s tall ship Cuauhtémoc easing away from Pier 86 beside the Intrepid on Saturday, heading home after a fraught New York stay. The vessel, which made headlines in May after colliding with the Brooklyn Bridge, has made a home in Hell’s Kitchen these past few weeks. “Off goes the now infamous Cuauhtémoc,” Snyder wrote on Instagram. “It was cool to be out on the water with her as she finally dropped lines after a tragic and overstayed visit in New York.”
Happy birthday to Mike Roda, Chad MacDonald, Tania Luna and Aoife Collins.
