Hey, what’s up everyone? It’s Jess. Welcome back to my channel for another video. So, today I’m going to be doing my June garden tour. Everything is starting to come into fullness and there’s so much color and I’m just so excited to show everything that’s happening in the garden today. So, I’m pretty much going to go through and just hit the highlights because y’all, I sat down and counted. I have 14 garden beds now. So, there’s no way I can literally go through plant by plant. I just want to kind of show you guys what’s blooming, what’s looking really pretty. And let’s go ahead and get right into the tour. [Music] So, I’m going to start right up here on my front patio. You guys just saw I did a whole makeover up here. It is filled with all of my Japanese maples and my hydrangeas and everything is doing so, so well. So, back here in the corner, I have my geisha gone wild. She’s doing great. I have purchased a steak. so that she can continue to grow upward. And then also over here, I have two of my hydrangeas that I overwintered. They are doing phenomenal, y’all. Like, look how much growth they are put on. This one is still pushing out new leaves. Well, actually, both of them are. And then down here in front, this is a Walerana. I forget the name, but I did swap this one out. I originally had apple blossom planted in here. Swapped it out for a white blooming one. And the blooms unfortunately are a little bit spent for the video, but I am so thrilled with how these two pots are doing up here. Married over here on the other side, I do have two more hydrangeas that I overwintered. This one down here is my tuxedo. And y’all, look at these blooms. Y’all know how I feel about a lace cap bloom. And these are so so pretty. And I’m loving the pink up here. This is my other one that I overwintered. And y’all, this thing, I’m telling you, it bloomed so early. Okay, so these are more of the spent blooms, but I think I have a couple more buds in the back that are still going to open. Loving the big bold leaves up here. Back here in the back, I potted up two of my Japanese maples. They are both moon Japanese maples. This one on the left is my autumn moon, and this one down here is my moonrise, and I am loving how they look. I did also pull out the walana that I had planted in this planter because the hydranger was swallowing it out, and hopefully I can get my fingers on a few more. But I am loving the white blooms. Now you guys can see a little bit better on this one. I did also just hang here my cute little pot decor that I got from the mulch yard. I am so obsessed with this little piggyback frog. And then I have two of my little wisteria that I left um just for some decorational purposes. And then last but not least, right here by my door, I have my little baby blood good. It has put on a lot of growth already, y’all. Like when I purchased it, it was here. This is all new growth. So, I definitely need to come in and stake this one. Again, I already have the stakes. Just need to get out here and do it, which I’ll probably do right after this video. And then down here, I have two of my pots here. This one on the left is my summer crush endless summer hydrangeanger. I got on clearance from Walmart, actually, for seven bucks. Cut this one all the way back. And all of this is new growth, y’all. And I’m loving the leaves. I probably won’t get any blooms this year just because it is so young, but I am loving the big bold texture. And then over here I have another geranium that I potted up that I got on clearance from Lowe’s. It’s starting to set some more buds for me. It’s loving it life here. I’m so loving the pink and white. And then down here I have a couple of Brunner that I just tucked in. They’re doing amazing. These two are called Frostbite. I have a hooker here that still needs to get planted in the backyard. All right. And here is what the front garden bed is looking like, y’all. I am so sorry it is in full sun right now when I’m filming, but everything is starting to fill in and I’m so so excited for it. So, back in the back row, I have my boxwoods. I have my hydrangeas here doing great. They have not come. Oh, wait. Look, y’all. I have some blooms setting on this one over here. Do y’all see that? Let me zoom in. That is exciting. So, this is only their second year in the ground. I planted these from a tiny quart size. And the one over here on the left completely got trampled. That one has pushed out with all new growth just this season. So, I am loving these. These are tiny quickfires. Also, my eclipse has one gorgeous bloom for me. Give you a closeup on that. I love the dark foliage of this hydrangeanger in the hot pink blooms. So, so pretty. My calls unfortunately are spent. Y’all saw these earlier this spring. They were gorgeous. I do also have a tiny little wee white hydrangeanger here. Do y’all remember how small this was? It was literally like two twigs earlier this spring. I have three blooms and it looks like it’s trying to put on a fourth for me. So, I’m so excited about it. In front of that, I also have some perennial beard’s tongue, which y’all, literally the first day that I planted these, the hummingbird came out the next morning. I’m loving the color on these. Probably need to come in and give them a haircut. So, hopefully I’ll get a second flush. And then, same thing with my Veronica here. They definitely need a haircut, but I have been enjoying their purple color up here. Also, let me step back. I do also have two flocks getting ready to come into bloom beside Rosie, if you guys can see that. So, I’ll definitely be sure to give you updates once those come into full bloom. My two purple fountain grass that I got on clearance are doing great. And then look at all of my impatience, y’all. They look so pretty. So, these are sun patients. I can’t remember the name. I’ll see if I can go back to my video when I planted them and pop it up on the screen for y’all. But, I am so loving this little pastel pink. It is so so pretty. Also, y’all, I’m so excited. It is finally time for me to come in and cut back my daffodil foliage. It looks crazy, but I just wanted them to absorb all that they need in order to bloom and perform next season. So, I’ll come in and cut those back. In between them, I did tuck in some clearance verbina that I got. This is sparkling rose starting to come into bloom. And then my surefire white beonas down here are doing phenomenal. Lamb’s ear around the tree is looking great. Looks like I’m going to need to come in and do some shape pruning maybe this fall or later early next spring. Um, just because this is starting to come out too far to the edge for me. I like to have a nice tight ring. And this one right here looks like it didn’t make it. So maybe I can just transplant. But anyh who, I do have two salvia here. These are pink profusion. They have bloomed. I need to cut them back so that they can give me a second flush. And then my twisted salosia here are doing so so well, y’all. They love the heat. And I am loving the blooms on these. Like look at that. I know my camera’s not doing it justice, but I am loving this little swoop here. And then over here on the corner, I had to catch this while it’s in full bloom for y’all. Like, I am so obsessed with these dillies. I know a lot of people don’t like dowos because their blooms only last for like a day or two, but this show right here is worth it to me. Like, look at this. Is this not perfection in a dilly bloom? I love the yellow throat and the soft ruffly pink edges. It is so so pretty. And this is so massive because this is actually three dillies that I’ve had in a pot when I first bought them. Planted them all here and it has just continued to grow in size. So I definitely plan on dividing it and transplanting more to my backyard now that those beds are ready. My lavender red bud here has put on a ton of growth since I put it in this pot. I am so loving it here. Definitely think I may keep it. I’m not sure if I’m going to put it in the ground though, just because once I put it in the ground, it’s going to lose about a foot and a half of height, and I really like the height that it’s giving here. So, maybe I can find a wider pot for it to enjoy. Underneath its canopy, I do have some patunias tucked in here. The dark purple one is a new one for 2025 called Tiara Blue. I have been enjoying this patunia so, so much. It literally catches my eye every time I see it in the garden center. I have been stalking all of the garden centers in my area trying to find the tiara pink. Nobody has it, so hopefully I can get my fingers on that next year. Um, and then also the white ones I have tucked in mixed in are some silverberries. In front of it, I have another clearance haore that I planted. Doing great. It’s finally starting to put on some new leaves for me. And then beside that, I have my cute little fuzzy baby here. This is my blue shag pine that I ordered earlier from Mr. Maple. I know she looks deformed just because of the one tall candle that she has put out this year. She’s a baby, y’all. So, I’m going to let her do her thing. I’m going to let her grow, get established before I start shaping and cutting on her. But, I just love the icy blue that it pops here. And then I have two Salvia down here. I just wanted to show you guys these blooms cuz I feel like they are so unique. They have a gorgeous purple and white variegation. Do y’all see that? Oh, it’s so so stunning. So, I do plan on digging these out and transplanting them to the backyard. Um, because I’ve actually purchased another shrub that I want to go in this area. This right here is one of my apple blossom while Rihanna impatients doing amazing. And then we have my nice blanket that is starting to form here of my lambium. You guys, I love this ground cover. I especially love it late at night when the sun is setting and it’s nice and dark. This foliage really, really shines. And it’s also blooming. Well, starting to come out of bloom a little bit, but they have gorgeous purple blooms, and I am just so loving this entire bed. Everything in the mailbox bed is filling in so nicely. I’m so happy with it. My Morgan arbivites are doing great. The Walana have filled in. And I know y’all, this is the third plant that I have planted here this season. Um, so I took out the dusty miller that I replaced and got these off of clearance. This is I think tropical sunrise caliper koa. So I popped in one here, one in the back. Waiting on those to recover and fill out, but I think they’ll be gorgeous. My summer crush hydrangeanger down here is doing great. No blooms yet, but loving the foliage. And then same thing mirrored on this side. Summer crush down here. Two walnas and then the caliber coa with my gorgeous Morgan arbivites. Update on my tree ring. Everything in the ring is doing so, so well, y’all. I am loving the combination. Loving the double ring of the beonas. The beonas have been loving all the rain that we’ve been getting. Also, my clearance while Rihanna, y’all, they’ve added so so much color. So, I am so happy with it. Still need to decide if I want to keep my denths. I was going to transplant them to somewhere else in the yard, but I’m actually not really in love with them at this point. So, they’re here for now. Um, and then also my hookas are all doing great. Still need to find one more to pop in on this side. But yeah, y’all, the tree ring project success this year so far. I did also come in and trim up all of my Manhattan. They are doing amazing, y’all. They had put on so much growth. I had to cut them back like by a third. And they’re also in bloom right now. Do y’all see the blooms? So, so sweet. Limelight hydrangeanger is doing amazing. It has put on a ton of growth since I trimmed it back. And I think this year is going to be its best year as far as shape goes. Our bodys are all doing great over on this side of the driveway. And then down here, then everything in this bed is starting to fill in so so nicely, y’all. I’m so happy with it. My two transplants are doing great. This is the Forever Goldie I had in a pot for four years. Do y’all remember how brown it was? It has literally put on like two inches of growth since I planted it. It’s recovering amazing. Same thing with the eanomous back here. It has put on a ton of growth. That one was living in a pot as well. And then also my salvia here. I have cut them back. Um so hopefully I’ll get a second flush on them. And then this right here. H can’t remember the name of this hydrangeanger. I’ll enter inserted it on the screen for y’all. But look at the blooms. I have a gorgeous pink bloom here. And then another one coming as well. I was not expecting to get any blooms on that this season. So I’m excited. Unfortunately, I did miss the bloom on this one. This is my Lion King iris. Literally, I only get one bloom on this every year. This is now its fourth season. So, I’ll insert a picture on the screen for y’all. It was gorgeous when it was bloom, but hopefully now that it’s in a spot that gets plenty of sun, I’m hoping I’ll continue to get more blooms on it. I did also pop in a few lantana just for pops of color. I cut them back. They were in bloom when I originally planted them. So, hopefully now they’ll start to set some buds for me, which got one. so far. Cannot wait to see their rainbow pop of color. My two barberries and my eanomous over here. I just gave a haircut. They’re doing great as well. And then y’all look at my fountain grasses. When I tell y’all they almost completely disguise this box now. I am so so happy with all of their growth. Need to come in and give my nepata here another haircut. Um the bees are still loving them. So I just hate to cut things back that bees are enjoying, but I have been loving this here. This was an accidental planting and it literally fills up all the way back behind tucked in the grasses there. And here I have my dwarf kryptoaria that I dug out, put into a pot for it to recover. Um, it’s still slowly recovering, you guys. It has put on some new growth. So hopefully now that I’m finishing up the beds in my backyard, I can get it transplanted in the ground so it can fully recover. Update on my magnolia ring here. The Jane magnolia is doing phenomenal, y’all. It has put on so much growth. However, the dianths underneath it, I think I’m over it, y’all. I think I’m ready to pull it. And then also, my little poppies here, they do not like this sun, y’all. The same thing happened when I planted them last year. I got them all on clearance. They were great. They bloomed and then they all just turned into these sticks. So, I think it just gets too hot for them in this area. Hopefully, I can dig up these last two and transplant them so they can come back for me next year. Or maybe this is just what they do in the summertime. Like y’all leave me a comment down below. Let me know. Do poppies come back for you? Like, is this normal or is this gone? I don’t even know. But my Limelight hydrangeanger hedge is looking phenomenal, y’all. Like, look at these two right here. These are the two most recent ones that I planted. And this one was a tiny little baby. It has now caught up with all the others. And I’m so so loving it. So, I was considering possibly digging these out, you guys. I know. I love my hedge, but it is so much maintenance early in the spring. But when I tell y’all literally after I do that maintenance, I don’t have to do anything in this bed. This is my most lowmaintenance bed, literally. So, I do think I want to pull out all of the Laia and plant them with something else underneath. But y’all look at the size on these. These are definitely about 10 ft tall now. And then update on my little project experiment over here. This is my endless summer hydrangeanger. I did have a comment where someone asked what would happen if I did not cut off the old bloom stocks from last season. This is what happens. So, you can see the blooms from last year are still here. And it did produce some new blooms for me. And of course, everything in my yard blooms pink. That’s just my soil pH here. And it is getting a little bit scorched. I have not turned on my drip at all, y’all. Like for any of my beds. I have not run my drip at all this season. We’ve had so much rain. Everything has just been surviving off of mother nature. Last but not least over here, my retaining wall bed is doing great. I did come in and make some modifications in a previous video. As you guys saw, I did dig out all of the Mexican heather Kufia that I had planted in the base. Popped in these gorgeous angelonia. They have been doing amazing, y’all. They are a little bit floppy. So, maybe next year when I plant them, I’ll know that I need to come in at least give them some steak so they can have some support. But, I popped in all of the Mexican heather down here. doing great with all of my um foxtail ferns here as well. And then the side, you guys, has greened up and filled in so nicely. My boyfriend literally just cut the grass yesterday. Um but we are still working on filling in the gap from the back side of the fence now. So yeah, y’all. Oo, I need to come in still need to come in and spray the rest of my creeping Charlie as well. Y’all, it is hot out here, but I saved the best for last. Let’s go check out the east side garden. Look at how full and stunning this bed is looking. I just cannot get over it, you guys. I am so happy with how this has turned out. So, over here I have two Chateau de Versailles hibiscus trees. But look at this bloom. So, so pretty. I love the burgundy throat with the purple leaves. This one again is called Chateau Deersai. I got them on clearance from Lowe’s 2 years ago. So, this is their second year. I also have three distillium that I got on Lowe’s clearance 6 years ago and they have filled out so nicely y’all. I definitely need to come in and give them a haircut. Also, my hearty geraniums have come into bloom and you can see the bees are enjoying them. This one is called Boom Chocolata. I have one planted here and then one on this side as well. In the center I have a gigantic plantain lily aka hassa. I like to call it plantain lily because that’s what it was labeled when I got it. Um, it did not come with a name, so I have no idea what the variety is. But y’all, this thing is so massive, and I actually really enjoy the blooms that are starting to set on it as well. All of my beonas tucked in are doing great. My two callillies, they a little bit on the struggle buzz, so we’ll see how they come in next year. If they don’t perform, y’all already know we going to switch it up. Over here, I did transplant from my backyard a Stella Day or dilly just as a test, you guys. Everything that I plant in this front swoop ends up dying because of my AC unit. So, I’m going to see how tough this dililla really is. If it survives, I’m going to divide it and we’re going to fill in this swoop so I have some pretty yellow along this border here. The gonas are all doing great. Apparently, I had a rogue red one in my flat that I purchased, but it’s gardening, y’all. We’re just going to let it live and do its thing. This right here is my newly planted Japanese maple. This is called Twambble’s Sentinel. This one stays really, really narrow. And I’m thinking I’m probably going to end up transplanting this. You guys, I have another idea of where I want this to go. But for now, I’m enjoying it. Spirals definitely need a trim. But y’all, look at this. First of all, y’all already know how I feel about my trelluses. They added so much to this space. I am so happy with them. Over here, my gold drift um spruce is doing great. But look at my hydrangeas. So, these are all Invincibel Sublime. I did transplant two of them earlier this spring. I used to have them planted just in a straight line underneath the window. I bumped up two of them, so now they’re kind of in like a zigzag W and they are doing phenomenal, y’all. As well as my coral bark Japanese maple here. It has put on a ton of growth. I do have a drift of some h not sure of the variety, but this is dusty miller. I did have one that completely died. I just popped in a turtle there. And now these other two are starting to do the same thing. So I’m not sure what’s going on with this spot. Maybe another trouble spot for me, but everything is just so so full, y’all. Oh, I got to give you guys a closeup. Look at this bloom. I get a lot of questions on what this plant is and where I got it from. This is a giant callilly. I purchased it from the farmers market as a potted plant. It was just two. So, I have one here, one here, and it has just literally naturalized and grown over the years. I want to say this is a six-year plant as well. I definitely have plans on dividing this and transplanting more in my backyard, but I am so loving these two. My Taylor Sunburst in the back is doing great as well. All of my hellaors are starting to fill in that I got on clearance. And then, y’all definitely wanted to give you an update on my cypress cuz I had a lot of questions when I planted this here. This one, I know, takes a ton of water. It also takes a ton of sun. And literally, it’s been getting the mixture of both. And it’s put on some more growth for me, you guys. I’m so excited. Fingers crossed this one continues to thrive because I want it to fill in this entire section right here. Um, my cascading fairy trail bride hydrangeanger was in bloom when I planted it. So, it is now starting to set on its second set of blooms, which I’m so excited about. Need to come in and probably clean it up just a little bit. And then last but not least over here, we have my two topiary legushrooms here. They definitely need a haircut. They just came out of bloom, so I didn’t want to trim on them while they were blooming, but I’ll definitely come in and shape them. And then I also have some clearance super tuna bordeaux planted in each of my blue pots. Sod is doing amazing as well. You guys saw I just did a whole makeover creating this pathway leading into the backyard. Please disregard my fence, you guys. We still need to pressure wash. But yeah, you guys, I am so so loving this. This is one of my favorite areas in the garden right now. That was a hot one. But that is going to conclude my June front yard garden tour. I hope you guys enjoyed seeing everything that is currently in bloom, how things are starting to fill in. Definitely stay tuned because I will be filming my June backyard garden tour later this evening. Things are really starting to take off back there. So, I’m so excited. You guys leave me a comment down below. Subscribe for more and I will catch you in the next video. Peace. [Music]
