She looks sweet! Is this a bambino?
If so, she’s fairly easy (in my experience!) compared to other alocasias. I hold mine under a grow light since she’s in a dark corner, but near a window would be optimal ofc. I water when top is dry, fertilize once every few weeks. Prune old leaves once in a while.
But since she looks happy, it might be the best idea to ask the gift giver how they treated it?(:

Whoa never seen such a thick stalk on a bambino before. The leaves really do stay small still! My pink var bambino is the easiest of all my alocasias and been sprouting a leave every week. Mine loves being directly under a grow light and water when dry. I also fertilize every watering. Good luck!
