How to Get a Chubby Chipmunk in Grow a Garden
The Chubby Chipmunk is a Rare pet and is exclusive to the Chubby Chipmunk event, where you’ll need this pet to participate. While the event runs, you can go to the center of the island where the new NPC, Nuts, is. To the right of them is a sign that says, “FREE CHIPMUNK”.
As long as you haven’t already claimed your free Chubby Chipmunk, you’ll see one below the sign waiting. Interact with it to get it as a pet. You can then place it in your garden to start getting rewards from this event.
The Chubby Chipmunk can come in different colors, so you may have one that looks different from other players in Grow a Garden. This is only a visual change and doesn’t impact its ability.
What Does the Chubby Chipmunk Do in Grow a Garden?
The Chubby Chipmunk plays a major role in the Chubby Chipmunk event. Its ability is that every two minutes, it will eat a fruit in your garden and gain .01 kg of weight. It’ll ignore favorited and single-harvested fruits. After eating a fruit, an Acorn will spawn somewhere! Collecting it grants a random reward from the event pool of rewards.
The amount of weight it gains and the time it takes to eat will change as it ages and/or grows in size. This can speed up the process of getting weight-related rewards during the event.
