Why the existing leaves folded and the new vines keep growing longer without having bigger leaves? He is my first Caudex. What's the name of this one tho. Any tips for taking care of him ie how often should I water etc would greatly appreciate!

To me it looks like a Stephania. S. subrosa maybe. As far as the leaves,from the pic it looks like it needs more light and a bit more moisture.
