I’m new to alocasias and I just picked up this polly from the shop, the new leaf is looking a little messed up but it also looks like it has 2 stems ?

  1. Should I remove this leaf as it looks like it’s already dead ?

2 is this 2 stems or am I mistaken ?

Thank you 🙂

I would let it push out more before cutting it imo

The leaves are connected to petioles not stems. That’s a petiole and a rolled up leaf emerging (normal for an alocasia). The petiole grows up and the leaf unfurls once it’s ready. Alocasia don’t have stems but have rhizomes where all petioles emerge from. Don’t remove it unless it’s dried up/dead.

Maybe it’s 2 leaves growing at the same time…if that’s the case, try to peel of the brown parts slowly and see if the leaf underneath is still ok.
