These trichs sitting on pallets were potted 2-3 years ago in 6” and 1 gallon containers. Never fed, rarely watered in the summer, super poor color, sun bleached and begging me to plant them in the ground, or at least given some shade, they’re screaming neglect!
But directly behind them in the ground are some Peruvianus Victorias, a pretty trich found in east county San Diego. No water all summer, they’re on the edge of some California Oak tree shade, organic fed soil from seasonal leaves dropping, and their roots have room to explore. Naturally, a few feet in nature makes all the difference. I guess we’re kind of like cactus aren’t we?
Enjoy your weekend, and be nice out there!
Cheers
