I bought this monstera a while ago, it had a lot more leaves and now its only down to 3. Idk what is going wrong. Pls help.
It used to be a in a smaller pot, so I repotted it to a bigger one with Miracle Grow Houseplant Mix. I have also purchased Baby Bio to feed my plants, but haven’t used it yet. It is by the window where it gets good sunlight on the sunny days.
I water when it is dry, not everyday.

depending on where you are, you probably need to wait for spring. im in the Midwest and my monstera would put out like 2 leaves in the spring/summer then just stop growing for the year. my assumption is it needed more light. i got rid of it lol, it took up to much space and barely grew.
I have so many questions but one thing I’d guess (with what’s left of “so many leaves” to three leaves) is overwatering and the wrong dirt mix. My peace lily’s do fine in indoor potting soil like Miracle Grow but monsteras need better aerated/better draining soil…. That tiny baby leaf has signs of overwatering.
“I water when it’s dry, not once a day” tells me you’re probably still watering more than once a week. I water mine once every week and a half and I’m in a fairly humid place in the Pacific Northwest US
what do you mean you water when it is dry not every day? about how often?
Looks like it has thrips damage. Check for pest.
Monstera need very little water. Those leaves and symptoms look like over watering. A plant that size I would water with a complete soak once every 2 to 3 weeks.
to me it looks like the pot may be too big and the soil is definitely too compact for a monstera. you want a mix of orchid bark, chunky soil and perlite for best drainage. south facing window is best and they prefer bright light. i know most say indirect light but mine love being right in front of direct light. i typically see new growth roughly every 2 weeks with my 4 monsteras. even with the weather change shes still producing more. i water when she begins to droop slightly, if it’s dry 2-3 inches down i water throughly and let the excess drain out. never water on a schedule only by feel. plants will tell you what they need. also, fertilizing is important too. i fertilize once a month with the tropical plant food from miracle gro.
What type of soil is that? They love to be in clumpy soil. I mix my own to make it airy for the roots. I also pack charcoal at the bottom to help with draining. Maybe get a light for her and set above. They’re fairly inexpensive on Amazon. Lots of luck 🍀
How big is the root system? If it’s not very big, the plant will focus on growing roots first before putting out leaves. Monstera’s don’t mind being a little rootbound. I would also change to a chunkier, well-draining soil. I like to make my own mix by combining potting soil + perlite + orchid bark + worm castings, but there’s a lot of soil mix recipes out there that you can try. If you Google “Monstera soil mix recipe” you should get some food results! Also, how much light is it getting? It does have some signs of being overwatered, they really don’t need water very often and usually the plant will tell you when they’re thirsty.
Change the soil to a 1:1 mix of perlite, orchid bark, and soil. How long has it been since you’ve repotted? Consider waiting some time before repotting in order to prevent stressing the plant too much. Bury the stems at least up until the brown part on the larger stem. But I’d do just below the bifurcation (the V) of the big stem. (The small one will catch up, just keep the small one’s leaf above the soil.) Water once per week for a few weeks after these changes. Then use the two finger method after that to determine if you need to do a LIGHT watering. Good luck!!!
Probably repot shock. After repot, normally it won’t grow till at least 1 month later.
Too much feeding and too much water. These plants grow naturally in dry shade with few nutrients and so should be kept somewhere humid but left to dry completely at the base.
Add one cup of water every few weeks and every other day or so mist the leaves.
They also like partial sun, so get it away from the window and somewhere slightly less bright.
Show us the roots.
Try a smaller pot
And make a chunky aroid mix
Maybe because it needs a bigger pot. I mean it does have “Monster” in its name now!!
This is all you need to do with it to make it healthier. Have patience.
1. Give it support.
2. Water thoroughly when the soil is COMPLETELY dry.
3. Give light and no cold drafts.
That soil looks a bit too dense.
Could you send a closer picture of the leaves? I’m especially interested in that small leaf. Looks like it could be overwatering.
If so, remove the plant from the soil, wash off the roots and cut off any rotten roots. Then add perlite and maybe some orchid bark to fresh soil and repot to a pot only an inch bigger than the root ball.
