Yes I saw you planting the tree on a short video. Canโt remember where though. ๐. It looks perfect there with the boxwoods. The pots look great also. Thanks again for sharing this with us. ๐ฏ๐ฏ๐ฏ๐จ๐ฆ๐จ๐ฆ๐จ๐ฆ
Oh I forgot the sunflowers ๐ป they are fantastic. Wow.
Absolutely love that Hawthorn

Good morning!
Maybe you can explain why you plant. It seems never ending. Do you open your property for public viewing? Or something else.
My favorite thing in this video is the incredibly hydrangea hedge along the neat and tidy boxwood hedge.๐๐ฅฐ
The gardens there are very flat and beautiful.
I would love to see you just run and jump on that trampoline one of these days!
Hi, Laura: I really wonder if the wall next to the berm would also serve as a nice sitting wall for gatherings and parties if it was a little higher. I can imagine people just hanging out there watching a basketball game or roller skating, or kids playing on the swings. It wouldn't really affect the look very much to add a few more courses of stone to make it higher, and I don't think it would really be noticeable that it can function as a sitting wall as well. The area is coming along so very nicely!
No wonder yโall donโt take many vacations. Youโd be hard pressed to find anything this beautiful! โค
what a perfect tree for that spot!! it's like the universe said: let's send this to Laura via her parents' garden center, haha… i love the shape and can't wait to watch it grow… the sunflowers are just the happiest flower on earth, so sweet… i wonder if you can preserve the blooms in silicone? maybe they'd fall apart, hmmm… everything is still looking so lush and beautiful, and those red dahlias take you right through fall and maybe longer… i was thinking what a gorgeous arrangement you could make with sunflowers, dahlias, tiny pumpkins, etc… so pretty!! love the pots, and who am i kidding, i LOVE everything you plant! ๐ฅฐโคthanks for the video!! ๐ฅฐโค
Laura,
I live in the Willamette Valley. You need to plant some Viburnumโs for the birds in your berm. I bought Brandywine, Blue Muffin and All that Glitters & Glows to plant late Winter. I bought these from Proven Winners. They came in quart sized pots but I replanted them in gallon containers to overwinter. I fertilized them with plant tone and they have already tripled in size. Theyโll be a perfect size when I put them in the ground. They also get nice fall colors, canโt wait to see them bloom and berry next year. The birds will love ๐ you for that!
We live in zone 9 south of Houston in Galveston County and Boxwoods grow beautifully here! โค
Do your neighbors with the bees ask you to plant anything specific for honey?
How do you keep the hydrangea blooms from turning brown even while still white?

That Hawthorne is absolutely beautiful in its shape. I donโt think Iโve ever thought about or known about this tree. Can I ask if those berries were to make it to the ground, will they reseed themselves?
Love the Rebecka plant. Everything looks so beautiful.

๐ณHow long does it take to ride around your beautiful area๐ฒ๐ป๐๐น๐ซ๐๐ฅ๐ชป๐๐ฟ๐ฑ๐พ๐ชด
You know what goes with Hawthorne? Hybiscus!! Not only is it beautiful together, you can make your own garden tea blend!๐ฟ๐ธ
The hawthorn tree is and will be so beautiful! What a find! Sunflowers are the happiest flowers ever. Amazing how they grew so quickly. The pot plantings look gorgeous! What a fun day!! Now Iโm doing a deep dive on beef carbonnade recipes!! Sounds delicious! โคโคโค
Those pines on the corners of the hartley would amazing in the ground right where you have them now!
You say that the white powder you have as soil looks like it shouldn't grow anything; you are correct, the only reason that anything grows is because you people draw on the artesian water depleting it as if you think that there is not anything wrong with what you are doing. THER WILL BE WARS FOUGHT IN THE FUTURE OVER WATER, DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND THE IMPORTANCE OF NOT USING OUR PRECIOUS COMODITY just because you think it is your right to act in an immoral way.
Love that Queen Tut!
Thank you Laura!
The property looks amazing!๐๐พ๐
I'm still here, patiently waiting for you to give us an update and progress report on the Aquapot inserts? Will you please give us your opinions on these inserts?
You put them in quite a few of your spring pots this year, and I've not heard you say one word about them all summer? I had really hoped to get your opinion bc I want to use them for my clients pots. I've even sent y'all emails asking for the update?
Such a beautiful tree! Love multi trunk trees. The boxwoods are so cute.
Show us when the tree blooms and changes please!!
Your videos are very interesting, thank you for sharing.

Iโve had trouble in the past with drainage in pots. Iโve had much better luck since I started drilling the drainage hole on the side of the container near the bottom.
They're pretty planters, lovely combination, but i keep thinking spring. ๐
I think Laura has magic sunshine that makes plants grow faster.
