West central Indiana here. Just did a complete till up and reseed of my back yard on the 20th, I know tilling can bring up a lot of weed seeds and I can already tell it’s doing so with clover, however given where it was the last 5 years I decided nuking it, tilling it, and reseeding was my best option. The seed I used was the Northern Zone Combat Extreme from outside pride which has ttf and some kbg. My ask is, should I save the 8-10 pounds I have left and do an overseed in the spring or throw it down now, with deer season here I won’t be around much to water it how I should and will be reliant on my wife to at least water it once a day for me. I am very happy the Scott’s triple action for seeding is killing off some of the leafier weeds in the front yard I did do an overseed on. The ultimate goal here is to just make it look better than it does now for when I sell this godforsaken Guantanamo Bay of a house. Fence and too many damn trees block way more of the sunlight than I’d like but it is what it is.

    Grow dammit!

I get it dude. I do the same thing every morning. Coffee in one hand, flashlight in the other. Just a bath robe.

It doesn’t hurt to throw down either way. A lot of people do dormant seeding in the winter which could be interesting to try. I think it’ll fill in fairly well in the spring.
