How to Get a Crimson Thorn in Grow a Garden
The Crimson Thorn is a permanent seed, so it can be purchased from the Seed Shop. We haven’t confirmed how many Sheckles you’ll need for this seed, since it’s a Transcendent one, but we will do as soon as possible! And of course, you’ll need to be lucky enough that it’s in stock. Otherwise, you can buy it with real money for 1,149 Robux.
It’s worth noting that because it’s one of the rarest seeds, the chances of it appearing in stock are incredibly low. With that said, the developers will sometimes do rare restocks during the lead-up to major updates each Saturday.
As it’s a multi-harvest plant, once you have it, you can keep it in your garden for as long as you like and continue to pick flowers from it to sell. This also gives you a chance to get a Lucky Harvest seed from it, which is the ability to get a seed just by picking crops from the plant. If you have a Snail as a pet, your chances for a Lucky Harvest increase.
Alternative Way to Get a Crimson Thorn
If you’re bored waiting for the Crimson Thorn to restock, or you’ve unfortunately missed it, there is an alternative method that might work for you, which is to use pets and their special abilities. This is also down to luck and chance, but it doesn’t hurt to try.
Three animals that can help you out are:
Golden Lab Dog Red Fox Red PandaGolden Lab and Dog
The Golden Lab and Dog will both dig up seeds randomly. The likelihood of them digging up a Transcendent seed is incredibly unlikely, but it can happen.
Both of these animals have a 33.33% chance of being hatched from a Common Egg, which in itself has a 99% chance of spawning in the egg shop.
Red Fox
Just like the Raccoon, the Red Fox is a little thief. The Red Fox’s unique ability is that it can go into other players’ gardens and duplicate their seeds (it doesn’t really steal them). The drawbacks of this method are that someone else will need to have the Crimson Thorn, so you’ll want to be selective about the servers you join, and that there’s a lower chance of the Red Fox being successful at stealing if the seed is rarer.
Red Panda
The Red Panda will restock random items in each of the stalls on occasion. This gives you a chance that it’ll restock the item you’re looking for. But it does have a much lower chance for rare items to appear.
