The Orcas Island Garden Club presents Growing Anemones, Ranunculus, and Peonies by Anne Long
Please join the Orcas Island Garden Club on Wednesday, October 15th when we welcome Anne Long to speak about Growing Anemones, Ranunculus, and Peonies.
Anne will take an in-depth look at three of the most beloved cut flowers — anemones, ranunculus, and peonies. She’ll share practical tips on how to successfully grow these flowers in our region, from planting through bloom, and explain why they’ve become favorites for both home gardeners and professional designers. We’ll learn about what makes these flowers reliable, generous bloomers and best practices for growing.
Anne Long is a flower farmer, educator and owner of The Dahlia House, a flower business in the Skagit Valley known for its curated selection of bulbs, corms, and tubers, as well as workshops and retreats that connect people through flowers. She specializes in making gardening approachable while showcasing the beauty and abundance flowers bring.
The presentation will also be available via Zoom. For a link to the live Zoom presentation, please visit the Orcas Island Garden Club Events and click the link below the list of presentations. The presentation will be recorded. To watch the recorded presentation, hover your cursor over Events and select Recorded Presentations. Please note that the recording will only be available to view for four weeks after it is posted. Garden club presentations are free and open to the public.
