#HOA
You’ve really gone too far this time, Tom. These flowers are staying in my yard. They are not flowers, Linda. They’re unapproved vegetable beds. Tomatoes, peppers, and corn don’t belong in front lawns. They’re neat, fenced, and better looking than half the dead saw on this street. Plus, I grow food for my family. The bylaws state turf grass only in front yards. No gardens, no exceptions. That bylaw is outdated. We’re in a drought and my vegetables use drip irrigation. Doesn’t matter. The board voted. Your garden must be removed by the end of the week. Not happening. You’ll have to drag me out here with a shovel. Then expect escalating fines, leans, and legal action. Evening, folks. Police here. Dispatch said argument over landscaping. Yes, officer. She planted an illegal vegetable garden in her front yard. And I called because he trespassed into my yard with a tape measure, threatening to mark the area for removal. Sir, did you step into her garden beds? I measured from sidewalk to fence to prove the violation. That’s her property. You can’t just march in without consent. Officer, the bylaws say this isn’t allowed. The community needs uniformity. And the state just passed a food freedom act. Homeowners have the right to grow food on their property. That doesn’t override HOA rules. Actually, in this state, it does. I have the printed statute here. Officer, this makes enforcement impossible. Everyone will plant corn and pumpkins in the front yard. Maybe that’s not the worst thing. It builds community. Let’s compromise. Ma’am, keep the garden, but add edging and mulch so it looks intentional. Sir, file your complaint properly. No more tape measure patrols. I can do that. Add borders and tidy signs. I’ll still be filing a violation. File it. But until a judge rules, her garden stays. So, I just watch my neighborhood turn into farmland or into a greener, more sustainable block. Perspective matters. This isn’t the end. It rarely is. But tonight it ends with no trespassing, no fines, and a lawful garden. What do you think? Should HOAs control front yard gardens? First rule of hoa should be Karen/ Kevin control. Head on confrontations will be responded to with presidential replacement! Followed by board dismissal and a full vote by all participants!😊
Bull dooze stupid people like it on it
