The Belmont Garden Club met on Monday, August 18. The speaker for our meeting was Phyllis Turner, a Master Gardener. Club members enjoyed a very informative program on New and Unusual Plants for Bedford Landscaping in 2025 with unusual being plants we don’t normally see in our area. Phyllis shared photos and information about new annuals such as the Painted Love Petunia, the Blue Tiara Super Petunia, and the Sopranos Series of Impatients. A few examples of perennials shown by Phyllis were the Magenta Magic Rose and the Campfire Rose as well as the Kismet Kiwi Echinacea and the Cookies and Cream Hibiscus. Phyllis announced the Perenial plant of 2025 is the Clustered Mountain Mint and the Tree of 2025 being the Showtime Crabapple.
After Phyllis’s program, our members enjoyed delicious refreshments served by members Mary Markham and Julia Smith!
