OSHKOSH – Garden County’s volleyball team moves to 15-2 Friday night, capturing 11 ace serves in a 3-0 set sweep over Sutherland in Oshkosh Friday night.
Senior Ridglyn Stanczyk led the game in kills capturing 14 kills. She also assisted 18 times while capturing a pair of blocks and ace serves.
Junior Kirstyn Beberniss followed behind with 8 kills and added 3 ace serves and led the team in assists with 22.
The Eagles finished the match with 42 kills, 40 assists, 11 ace serves and 4 blocks.
Sutherland sophomore Leah Harper led the Sailors with 7 kills. Freshman Kate Dyer followed in suit with 4 kills and a block.
The Sailors finished with 15 kills, 15 assists, 3 blocks and an ace serve.
With the win, Garden County move to 15-2 and will be in the Morrill Tournament on Saturday. Sutherland fell to 5-15 and will host North Platte St. Patrick’s (9-11) on Thursday.
