Fenchurch Street in the City of London already has two rooftop garden galleries; a third is under construction, and the City of London has just approved a fourth.

Sitting halfway between the “Sky Garden” and “The Garden at 120” is 130 Fenchurch Street, currently occupied by a late 1950s podium tower block.
This will be replaced with a new, taller tower that will feature a double-height public garden terrace on the 17th floor, facing south and east, as well as an indoor cultural space. There is an expectation that the 17th-floor cultural space will be used for exhibitions and art displays.
There would also be a public viewing gallery and outdoor terrace on the 20th floor facing south and west. There is also space being provided for an extension of the gallery on the lower level.
In line with City policy, this elevated public space will be open to the public, free of charge, seven days a week.

A new ground-floor pedestrian route will also be created, linking Fenchurch Street to Leadenhall Market, Cullum Street and the Lime Street Estate.
As people comment on the rise of more towers in post-pandemic working life, in fact, demand for office space has surged in recent years, with vacancy rates in newly constructed buildings falling to just 0.5 per cent, according to Knight Frank.
The existing building is scheduled for demolition in 2026 and the new proposals, for completion in 2030.
So when 130 Fenchurch Street opens, you will have a pick of four sky gardens to choose from, all on the same London street.
