Built with the intention of adding fire Bellied Toads or Vampire crabs. Currently housing springtails on land and a few guppies shrimp and snails in the water section. Has a water fall running down the middle. Plenty of plants both aquatic and terrestrial. Been active for about 8 weeks now.

did you build this or is it an IKEA or other brand product?

I would not recommend fire bellied toads as they’re terrestrial species and the bottom of this offers little actual land and is primarily water.

  3. Am I right in thinking this is a Detolf unit??? It’s tempered glass so has the risk of shattering with temperature fluctuations – i saw someone put their crested gecko innone before and it shattered. I would not risk putting any live animal in there since it’ll require constantly changing temps

May or may not be paranoid, id rather not risk it

This isn’t really suited for anything other than some shrimp at the bottom since frogs risk drowning if they fall in the water and nothing that dwells in the water is going to get much use out of the high up wall space.

I think you’d be better off with some kind of frog that doesn’t mind the floor being mostly water. Vietnamese mossy frogs come to mind as an arboreal species that loves a water feature at the bottom of the tank.

Reed frogs would do well from what I believe
