This week on Good Day Gardening, we caught up with Jeff Turnbull, owner of Darby Creek Nursery. After weeks of dry weather, Central Ohio finally picked up some rain and the plants are loving it. Jeff says we still need a few more inches to make up for the deficit since the beginning of August, and he’s hopeful more showers will arrive soon.

This weekend the nursery continues their 25% off sale on all plants, with the exception of mums. Our interview took place in front of the nursery’s new front porch, which is fully decorated with fall décor and makes for the perfect seasonal stop.

Looking ahead, Darby Creek Nursery is preparing for their Fall Farm Fest, happening Friday, October 3 through Monday, October 6. During the event, all plants will be at least 33% off, with select areas of the tree farm marked 66% off. Families can also enjoy the pumpkin patch, open for kids to pick out their favorite pumpkins.

Jeff notes the nursery’s 20-acre tree farm is only open to customers a couple of times a year, so this is a rare chance to enjoy the full selection and some of the best deals of the season.

Stop by Darby Creek Nursery at 9050 Amity Pike this weekend, and be sure to plan ahead for Fall Farm Fest.
