Does this plant require some root trimming?

I was watering this plant for my aunt and I noticed its color starting to turn yellow, I asked her when was the last time she repotted it and she said never, so i offered to repot it for her. I just removed it from its old pot and the roots are everywhere. Should i trim some of them or just repot it in a bigger pot and let it be? Any help is appreciated. The plant gets enough light and has been thriving in the summer.
