FRONT YARD LANDSCAPING TOUR 2025
Hi everyone welcome to my channel. In today’s video I’ll be sharing with your guys my from yard on the progress of grass seeds that i planted and what my yard looks like at the current time. It been raining nonstop at spring and now we are only 3 days until summer and i still can’t get much done in the yard. Other than the rain we haven’t had too much of a warm weather either. hey guys welcome back to another tutorial So 
we’re just doing another tour of what’s going on with the yard since um it’s been raining 
a lot So and I the last time you guys seen me plant some grass I’m just doing an update We 
got a fresh cut um yesterday cuz it didn’t it it didn’t rain yesterday but you guys could see still 
where the grass is growing in We don’t have any um patch like we did I need still need to weed 
wipe but I have limited time But you guys can still see we still have some patches here We still 
have like a lot of weeds but at this point we’ll let the weeds be grass Okay Fiona get out of there 
Come here So so far this is what it’s looking like We have a a swing bench installed right here It’s 
absolutely gorgeous if you ask me And it’s very comfortable Only thing I wish it was a little 
shorter but it’s it’s okay Um this is an easy fix We could get chain and um make it better But I 
have some like artificial flower up there These I plant last year They’re in the wrong spot They’re 
um willow I think Um hold on let me tell you Um the apple willow So they’re some kind of willow 
tree So yep So so far we can’t do anything over here It’s all weed still These are blooming So by 
the time really the summer comes I don’t know But anyways I thought I would give you guys update 
We I bought some stones to refill under here cuz we didn’t have enough last year However I still 
decided that I would put some I don’t know what this is They come back every year So this year 
I decided to let it grow to see what it was Um I don’t know what it is It looks like bush 
All right So but these Oh god It rain It just stopped raining You see that see all the water 
coming off it just stopped raining So that got caught in there We just have some bloom on these 
um lilac They were beautiful lavender color lilac bushes This has some bloom But I just thought I 
would give you guys an update The grass looks a little better It’s coming in Raining a lot like I 
said So the weeds are growing in I’m not going to put any weed killer in here cuz there’s more weed 
than grass So we’ll let the weeds act as grass So again we still have to mulch and weed whack 
Didn’t do any of that But again like I said just an update So half of the ground is still moss 
and stuff but here’s what we have going on I still have these wood to cut up We have a tree I had 
a tree that came down up here Let me show you the tree He broke in half in the winter and this 
is it It’s grown some mushroom on it I have this little chainsaw I’m going to use it to cut it up 
But again got to wait till it get warm So so far this is what’s going on It’s the grass is growing 
in but it’s still patchy but looks better than it had Look Um but we’ll we’ll work on it We’ll 
keep working on it Once we start getting real grass we’ll get rid of these weed My first year 
in this house yard I try to kill the weeds Next thing you know I didn’t have any grass cuz it’s 
just weeds Um I think I have to get professional to look at it But I actually um uh don’t want to 
spend that kind of investment in the lawn I mean I could cut the weed and make it looks good for 
now for right now I’m not I don’t want to invest in that Um here if you guys remember this bed that 
I make last year you could go ahead and check that video out Look at these um Sylvia how big they had 
grown They grow so big And all these liies that I plant and all these stuff they bloom and these one 
bloom already They’re spring Absolutely gorgeous And these hostas I transplanted I had a huge one 
All these hostas that you’re looking at right here was transplanted last year Everything here was 
planted last year minus the weed just continuously grow and they’re looking really good Look at this 
Sylvia Something is eating it The snails I I don’t know guys Do you think the snails are the one 
that’s put in these holes they’re in my garden too But that lily right there and this lily right 
here And this lily right here was there when I purchased the home with this hydranger Beautiful 
hydranger And we have another one over here You guys probably seen me doing the video on how 
I pruned this hydranger and the silver chiny grass here I did plant some um what you call this when 
I Fiona I just gave you a bat Come here Like I was saying I just planted these um bona and I weed 
I have a video that I was making for you guys a very short video Probably watch link it after 
this I literally weed this out Okay I weed this whole area out to plant these um bonas Also I weed 
this area out and it’s raining so much Might as well don’t even weed This is why I’m just going 
to leave it Let them grow and wait for it to get warm And once it gets warm these are they already 
start growing really big Then I will weed what I can What I can I’ll just mulch over it If you 
guys have seen the video recent video I post on how I was um dividing the ferns This is what they 
look like I put some bona in it because guess what it’s just been raining and I have this amount of 
bagona sitting that needs to go in a pot and I have had a chance I kind of put some around this 
I don’t know how this is going to grow cuz these grow really poofy So maybe the fern will grow up 
It’s Kimberly fern They grow up And this one is still looking good that I recently plant You guys 
see when I was transferring this transplanted this Look at Fiona She’s nuts And again we did the 
same thing here and here So back to the lawn So this is just really the new update that I’ve 
done over here We’re going to go back to the lawn I can’t get anything done But really if you look 
over here again like I was saying there’s a big big the growth is crazy how big these Sylvia’s 
gotten Um and next year I feel like I want to dig out I hate these liies So I feel like I 
want to get rid of them My goal was probably get rid of them and plant something nicer that 
goes really nice to the Sylvia around this host um not hostile but they’re hydrangers They’re 
going to be beautiful white hydrangeers and then they change color as you go along throughout 
the seasons Throughout the season All right So over here we have some gladiololis that I had 
plants from scratch They’re growing and still big bush here blooming I haven’t had a chance to do 
anything to um prune it So I’m just going to let it um bloom Like it’s already starting blooming 
So I’m just going to let it bloom Once it’s done blooming we’ll trim it up and shape it up Clean up 
here Same thing with this one and shape up Clean them up and then we’ll put our little picket fence 
in the round I just planted these yesterday as I have them in the pot in the original container 
sitting there forever and they start looking like crap because they start getting root down and 
need to go in the ground So I just planted these um yesterday I think So it looks a lot better 
today but I think I’m just going to give it a See you could see the new growth or they’re 
coming in I’m going to give it a haircut once it stop raining again and I get the opportunity to 
I’m going to go to work pretty soon I just came out to walk the dog and I said why not just make 
a video to keep you guys updated So here again we have this one here Just planted this yesterday 
You could already see I wish I’d make a video doing it but my time was very limited as with the 
sun that came out because like I said it’s been raining non-stop So you could already see the 
difference with this They’re happy that they’re not in that little cluster container We’re going 
to give them a haircut and let it looks nice Over here we still have these one over here They’re 
blooming They’re gorgeous I’m not a big fan of them but I don’t know what they’re called But yeah 
And then down here we have some more hostas Not hosters Um gladiololis Like this one The the bulb 
came off when I was planting but I still decided to give it a a shot to see what will happen So so 
far that’s what it is That’s what it looks like We got to weed out this bail But you can see the 
growth guys is is unbelievable Once we clean this out and mulch it and everything and then clean up 
this area and mulch it but we can’t do that now because we don’t want to waste our time doing that 
because it constantly rain and when it constantly rain it’s just going to grow more weed Same thing 
in here These are doing so well If you guys have seen that video of me transplanting this earlier 
um in the spring transplanting from over here um and put it over here is way more happier 
right here That one down the bottom I’m going to show you guys is not too happy cuz it’s more 
likely in the shade However these are doing good I plant them the first year I came like I said 
to you guys and there’s more weed than flower So those hostas that you just seen that I showed 
you guys I transplanted them from these right now I could transplant this more but I’m just 
going to let it grow big I plant some of those patunas between these to give it the color a pop 
They ain’t doing well either It’s been there for a minute I feel like those two little piece I want 
it to trail is like last year I had patuna in here and it was absolutely gorgeous trailing and again 
like it just bothered me to see all these weeds but I’m not going to double work coming here 
to weed it out is called double work and I’m not going to do that if by the time it gets warm 
and stop raining it’s too late I’m not even going to waste my mulch I have mulch left over from last 
year 50 bag of mulch left over from last year that I need to use to mulch this area but again like 
I said if by the time it’s stop raining It’s It’s too late And it’s been a little chilly too Raining 
and chilly up here upstate New York So we’ll see I don’t know Like these liies that I planted I 
don’t know what kind I’m going to have to find out If you guys know what kind of lily they are 
then type it in the comment section If you don’t know it’s easy We could look it up on Google 
Like I had lily at my old house and I’m used to them being bunching out like every year this one 
just one piece come back and come back taller and taller Look how tall it is Like it’s super tall 
And this is the other um shrub bush Like I said I never touch these cuz there’s frog I transplanted 
that Does get it should get some sun but there’s no sun So they’re not do they’re they’re hanging 
in there But you see how this um you see how this um lily spread out this is what I’m used to from 
my old house These I plant when I first move here So I don’t know I think that’s a different lily 
A couple of them is different Like they just be growing tall So I think in the future I’m going to 
have to find a home for them and move them because my goal is to really make this look nice where you 
have this is a crab apple tree It’s beautiful in the spring where you kind of have them blooming 
down and trend down to the host I don’t I feel like it’s all over the place if these liies are 
going to be so high My goal was to have them in between kind of like but now it doesn’t look right 
Anyways back to the yard So the yard doesn’t look that bad if you had seen that video We’re coming 
It’s still not the perfect beautiful color like everybody perfect lawn but we’re getting there And 
if you guys remember this wishing well that I did last year and you want to check that video out 
I’ll have it in the description box below Down here last year I put impatience because they like 
shade However it wasn’t a good idea because it was food for the deer So you guys could see mosquitoes 
It was literally food for the deer So they came in and just eat it all So this year Joan fabric 
was going is going was going out of business Well it’s out of business now And I decided to 
get these fake ones for down here And let me tell you it does bright up the yard It doesn’t 
even look You wouldn’t know it’s fake unless I told you or from a distance However we did plant 
See how the grass growing it growing We did plant um some real impatience Once it gets warm I want 
to spray paint this bench like the white I spray painted gray last year because it was white and 
it was ugly and patchy patchy and all greeny and everything So I I could only find gray spray paint 
in my stash and I didn’t want to buy anything new And this was in the backyard So I move it here 
and it looks really nice in the fall Actually I put it out here in the fall cuz I had like if 
you guys could still see I had like my scarecrow hanging on the tree I still have pieces from the 
scarecrow and it looks absolutely gorgeous I had one sitting here with the plants and the Christmas 
time I have like the candy So as you drive up the driveway you’ll see that So it was beautiful So 
once it gets warm and stop raining we’ll we’re going to leave this black pot right here on the 
bench but spray paint it Make it looks nice And you know just probably I don’t know I probably 
put some something around here to make it looks nice cuz nothing grows around here Maybe a little 
bit of mulch maybe I don’t know So here these are spring flower They need to be like shaped up but 
I’m waiting for it to stop raining cuz right now the yard look like a freaking forest It’s just a 
bunch of bushes And I plant this spring a lot of um wildflower in here for spring I did it early A 
lot of wildflower and I don’t see anything coming but weeds So what we’re going to do and I try 
to plant plants here every year for the last three years I try to plant stuff It doesn’t work 
Sorry guys It doesn’t work So I think I’m going to finally make up my mind and mulch it cuz it’s a 
waste of time to keep trying to plant I I spend my money and plant a bunch of wildflower And I did 
planted some other plants for shade and it just just doesn’t work These are some hydrangeers that 
I have since last year I did not expect them to come back because I plant them in pot And these 
are just like the Mother’s Day hydrangeers from Price Shopper you see for $20 But look they like 
shade I had them in a sunny area last year and they were burning They were getting burned But 
it makes me feel good to see green coming So I don’t know if it needs to be like a partial sun or 
shade I You know what i still have the sticker I could probably look it up if it’s partial shade or 
let me see Um large how to grow Oh plant in shade or shade Yeah it needs to be in shade So last 
year it got burned A lot of burned So I moved it from up there where it was and bring it down 
here And I have this one It’s a beautiful foocha pink This one I don’t see much growing Oh yeah 
See we just see we just start getting a little bit of bud buding So we’ll see what’s going to 
be the turnout this year All right So they grow and when I did the research they grow on old wood 
So I try not to do anything But these once I once it stop raining I’ll have like a a video on me 
pruning these and making it looks nice for you guys But the goal was to show you So the grass was 
doing really well growing in And of course who you think did this this Fiona All she does is chase 
chickmunks That’s the chickmunk hole The chickmunk went down the hole and she thought she could have 
got it So she went and dug it all out I’m going to post put a picture of what she looks like of 
digging all out here We planted some hasters My goal is I’m tired of trying to cut up on this tree 
underneath tree Look at this tree trunk right here It’s so hard to cut up on it So I decided I wanted 
to plant some hosters I got some free hosters Ah and I decided to plant it I constantly run over it 
with a lawn mower cuz I got to get used to it Plus I think once it stop raining I’m going to have to 
go in with a little scissors and kind of like cut the grass in between and put some fertilizer Hope 
it’ll grow By next year we know this is going to look nice cuz we know hosters just grow I just 
did the lawn I kind of moved the solar lights and stuff So we know those are going to grow His 
hosters they’re called hosters They like shade and they grow So here a year or two you come back here 
and look at this Oh it’s going to be beautiful So I have if you guys remember those two plant 
on the bench the goal is to put one right on my sign here Oh and also if you haven’t seen this 
sign that I made somebody’s going to tell me it’s crooked Yes it is because guess what i’m going 
to straighten it for you Okay Are you happy it is straightened so here it is So I’m going to 
that impatient plant because it’s a shade area I’m going to put one of those Dollar Tree rock 
I bought plant hanger and I’m going to hang that pot with the red impatient right on there And 
I think I’m going to put like a solar light up the post to like brighten it up so you could 
actually see cuz it gets pretty dark out here at night So anyways so here’s the hostas they’re 
coming in So basically I have the green all in the middle Oh there’s so much bugs out here And then 
I have like the um green and white around So once everything grows in it’s going to be beautiful 
and it’s going to bring a good curve appeal So we don’t have to look at this big old stone this 
big old area cuz you see that cuz the chick monks and all these creatures living there There’s a few 
stones around it I’m probably going to move those and stuff We’ll see Now here is the big thing that 
people was telling me I’m going to kill this tree and oh this tree is going to fall in the house I 
was told that originally there was this land This place was owned by probably one family member 
So there’s a house close to my house A lot of people be like “Oh you live out there all alone.” 
No there is a house close to me pretty close And I was told that those people had owned this land 
too And there was a barn right here And I was told because those people still live there I was told 
that the barn came down and hit this tree You see that house across the street so you know how long 
they were here You see how Yeah hit this tree and it curved and it just grew that way So that’s why 
it has that belly from here to there You have that belly but as you go up it’s straight Now for all 
the haters who came for me with this circle when I make it that’s saying “Oh god best way to kill 
a tree I would love if I could kill this tree I tell you I would love You see all these trees So 
if I could kill a tree without paying to cut it down huh beautiful I would love cuz guess what 
i I call my friend or whatever and they won’t be afraid to come help me cut it up And I also have 
a little chainsaw there by day We’ll chain it up a little bit Cut it up And I’m pretty sure my 
neighbor would have a problem helping me either So if you guys remember this Her and Colus bed 
that I did last year you guys got to check this video out It’s doing actually really well People 
are loving it and somebody if you had subscribed I hope you did and come back to this video um just 
watch this video on how I did this circle and they want to do something like this However they’re 
saying there’s a lot of tree roots so they can’t Now the thing about my circle versus any regular 
circle I have a lot of space here So my circle is huge It’s 18t by 18t Okay It’s huge It’s not 
Maybe on camera it looks like it’s on the tree but here’s the tree trunk Let me get all the way 
up to the tree trunk here And let me move my way back We’re still coming back We’re still coming 
back We’re still coming back You still haven’t seen the brick We’re still coming back We’re still 
coming back And then there it is Now you’re seeing the stone This circle 18t by 18t It’s huge And 
this is why I thought it did I believe it didn’t do well last year because I didn’t it wasn’t in 
my budget with the money to purchase the dirt to fill this up So the flower would have done well 
If you look carefully right now you could tell we only have one row cuz dirt shrink over time 
One row of dirt We still need a lot more dirt in here to build it up at least up to here You see 
this is where the first brick is We only have two row of brick or stone and we don’t even have dirt 
that covers the first layer of stone and I’m not going to do it So I leave it like this because in 
my mind I’m like okay well it’s hosters We know hosters are going to get big and they’re going to 
get beautiful So like I said we know hosters is going to get big and beautiful So it’s going to 
grow until it touch here Anyways I got to go get ready for work So I’m just showing you We still 
have some patches we’re still growing in But so far this is what it looks like It’s coming 
along and stay tuned We hope the rain stop falling soon so we could get some sun so things
