Just like the title says, I'm an avid tarantula keeper, but I also have invested heavily into growing a multitude of plants. Though now, I've found myself falling victim to spider mites and one plant with mealy bugs.

These plants now live in the bathroom, and I've given them all a good wash down, next will be a cleansing with some diluted isopropyl alcohol and a rinse.

Plant is semi hydro in LECA, nutrient water is foliage pro, ph 6 acidic.

Plant under grow lights by barrina T8 4 foot ballast, 16 hours on 8 off, indoors, facing east facing window.

Positioned within 2 feet of humidifier running at 70% humidity 24/7.

If this fails, what are my options that will not impact my tarantulas? Definitely don't want anything potentially migrating a poison to my spiders, they're also sensitive to airborne particles, such as fragrances and cleaners.

I’ve gotten rid of spidermites on many plants with just isopropyl! I think you’ll be perfectly fine. You can also add Castile soap, peppermint and tea tree oil to the mix, as additional deterrents

I’ve been using captain jacks to get rid of spider mites right now, and my tarantulas have been fine. They are in their own room though and I spray my plant outside.

All you have to do is rinse leaves under a strong stream of water do that 3 times a week for 2 weeks and it should make sure they are gone. Don’t let water get in the soil while rinsing so they don’t fall in it and climb back up.

Are you sure it’s spider mites? I don’t see any webbing and none of the leaves look like typical spider mite damage. These things tend to be thrip magnets, it looks more like that to me.
