Hi all, I found this plant amongst some lithops today. It is mislabeled so I’m curious, what’s the name for this little guy? I plan to move it to a far grittier soil mix as soon as I can. I wanted to ensure I wouldn’t stress the plant depending on its cycle. The leaves are firm but have some squish, the set split open the widest are very squishy. Is this due to overwatering? Thank you in advance 🙏💚

It’s a Gibbaeum dispar I think. The smaller wide leaves that I think you’re referring to are the old leaves that are being absorbed by the new pair. The cracks are signs of over watering. Their care is similar to Lithops in that you don’t want them to stack leaves (more than 2 pairs at a time) but they shouldn’t be nearly as sensitive to wrongly timed waterings as Lithops.
Repot into a gritty mix and water lightly after a week. Mist them every week or so until the old leaves are absorbed, then resume light waterings when they’re noticeably wrinkly.
Edit to add: I reread your post and maybe you’re referring to the smallest more red pair of leaves… they’ve def been over watered and the squish may be rot. When you repot it (I recommend sooner than later) check the roots for signs of rot and make sure it isn’t spreading to the other plants, they likely share a root system.
