my boss at work had this plant that was completely bald so i took it home and chopped it up as an attempt to save it ish. the stem was pretty much perfectly healthy so i figured i had a shot. this is my third time doing wet stick prop and both of the previous times my entire boxes survived. i’m not quite sure what this plant was but i believe it was some type of philodendron. any tips would be appreciated.

That’s all right, just check on it so it doesn’t mold, turn mushy or start smelling bad. if one of them starts going off, toss it. Keep hands and tools clean when you handle it and give good light and have patience, sometimes they take a while. 💚
It looks like a monstera stem? Except the ones with leaves look like golden pothos so I’m a bit confused myself
How long has it been there? I recently tried that with some monsteras and golden pothos (too?) and it defo takes time, especially now that it’s getting colder, i can see how much slower the growth’s getting
My best advice is to keep checking to avoid mold/rotting but other than that, give it time. I tried propagating some of my cuttings in perlite too and honestly went great, still got some cuttings there since they seem to be doing just fine for now, best of luck!
