I’ve got a small hanging garden with four Nepenthes ‘Gaya’, some sundews, Pinguicula, and a Venus flytrap, plus a couple of terrariums. The setup is in my apartment, but I’m struggling with almost zero natural light since my window faces a patio. 😕
I’ve been using three 10W SANSI gooseneck lights, each aimed at different sections, but they don’t seem to be cutting it. So, I added a 36W SANSI overhead light (slightly angled) today, hoping the combo will give my plants the light they need to thrive…
This wasn’t cheap so here’s hoping they will thrive 🤞🌱

There is app on android measure the light
Consider a light meter to remove doubt!
Im in the same boat RE: minimal natural light and I bought a light meter for <$20 (can’t remember maybe around $15?).
Being able to confirm the lux is nice to have an idea of what they’re getting. It’s not the same as knowing the PPFD but SANSI definitely provide a good amount of that and Ive fallen in love w/my SANSI and how powerful they are for my succulents and carnivorous plants alike.
Imo the three 10w and the 36w overhead should be great! You may just need to adjust the positioning to optimize the lighting, but it really does look great.
