Zone 6A. Pretty simple process. 2 rounds of Glyphosate late July. Scalped the lawn. Seeded with a rental slit seeder from Home Depot on Aug 28, used Twin City Resilience 2. Second round of starter without weed control September 20th. Today was the second cut. Pretty happy with what I see so far. A few thin spots here and there and some quack grass that will need to get sprayed next season.
Pro tip: be patient, continue to water and use a good starter fert.

Was it easy using the slit seeder? I’ve heard doing core aeration on your own is a pain even with a rented machine. Curious about slit seeding.
